Starting the Engine after the Rebuild. Did it start? YES... but w/ some almost catastrophic issues.

Here after almost a year of hard work, we attempt to start the fully rebuilt, forged internals Volvo T5 engine. It starts, it runs until.... something explodes!!!

Yes. Exactly our thoughts. We drove it yesterday and have isolated and remedied a few oil leaks, a few cels and down to one or two issues. But she was driving strong for the most part. Thanks for watching

You might already know all this but I'll share anyway...Back when I modded my V50 I got immobilized 3 times. FIRST, I had an abs code that would be intermittent, shortly after my front calipers seized. Swaped them for ford fitting calipers and code gone, immobilizer gone. SECOND, I had tried doing the haldex swap for my rear diff and in the process had found the diff was just bad, got a new one and had it flashed by volvo dealership, fixed that issue. THIRD, a bad o2 sensor...I think the upstream one. Swapped and fixed it. Even just battery running low has immobilized me. Volvo computer flashing is a big thing with these and without the equipment I just kept bringing it the dealer to get the software talking right. From my understanding, some parts need to be properly identified by other components of the system, even if they "work" they can still "block" ecu communications that way. Cheers! Keep it up!!

I notice we get it often when battery gets messed with. In and the. Out or disconnecting. We always just leave battery off for 15 minutes and it clears
