I did Garner for my EVO team instead of Mangala, and he is a beast and plays better than Thuram, who is his midfield partner! I have evo'd Garner (84), Patterson (84), Ndiaye (78 and actually is a beast), and Branthwaite (Just pace).

The evolutions are just as restrictive unfortunately. The only thing they have fixed is that you cannot abuse evos like the 99 Tella. Players can still miss out on evos by one pace or one physical, like Conor Gallagher in the octopus evo
