That's another reason for liking that dozer, not just the sound it makes, but with old equipment, so easy to service and fix, especially if you can still get parts. With new stuff might be more comfortable and convenient, but when it goes wrong even the smallest part can be expensive. Good job Chris, the site has come a heck of a way.

I had a chuckle... when you sped the video up during the dozing.. my first thought was... oh look Chris is going extra fast to beat the weather... but it was just the video tricks.. I guess with a hurricane coming.. things will get wet and that mean.. Chris gets the play with fire....

Hey Chris I would like to offer you a heads up!!! See that hydraulic line going from the pump to the tank. It's the hydraulic pressure line. It will rub on the air cleaner housing and put a hole in it. I had one to it years ago and it shot the hot oil into the air filter and it ran away. It was cool that day. I just wrapped my jacket around it and smothered it down.

Tropical storm Ian should dump about two inches of rain in your area Depending on how fast it moves you may see four inches max. Most of the storm damage was from storm surge because it came on shore when the tide was right for it. Wind will be you problem. Batten down the hatches at the farm.

I would weld some brush guarding to your root rake so it extends about 2 feet above the top of the blade - that will help you push those big piles and prevent a lot of that trash from getting into your engine compartment - you can see examples with a google search.

Today - Friday the 30th, over here in Currituck county, we’ve had heavy pouring rain and heavy ( gale force) winds all day. Yard full of tree branches. So far no trees but it’s not over yet.
