im glad i went with the oe style wiring harnesses alot simpler install. as for your ignition switch all the way laft is accessory, one click right is off completely, one more click is off but the key is removeable and the truck can be started in this position by turning the cylinder, then to the right is start. on the lock cylinder im using it has 2 pieces that sick out that you can turn the cylinder to start instead of the key. yea be very careful with the headlight switch you should have plugged it in before putting the knob in, if the slider inside isnt in the right place when you push the plug on or it will push the pins out inside the switch and youll have to pull the switch apart to fix it ( ask me how i know) it looks good so far looking forward to seeing what you get done next week

I think you may have the cylinder either backwards or the whole switch. Its like it is upside down. If it is reversed then turning it left would give acc and then right would be on.

Unless the switch has 2 flat spots it should only go in one way

@@skulltyrant2 oh okay I only can compare to what i remember about my 1968 GMC 😆. I guess it could be a different switch with the new one or they used something different in earlier models.

@@bbay1977 on my switch there's only one flat side and the teeth on the key point down.

Why did you paint those original dash control knobs and chrome fittings? Those knobs are expensive in original (unpainted) condition.

500 560 Awesome kit. Not much difficult in figuring it out. I did have issues with the headlight switch. And I had to get a new led flasher. Maybe because of the digital dash. But incase it doesn't blink. Good luck
