Excellent video. One suggestion. Provide a side view of the tool with the wire ready to crimp. Still, great instructional video. Thank you.

Yes, I was going to say same thing so I am sure which side goes up.

+2 on the side view of the tool with the wire ready to crimp. Does the double hump always face the open side of the terminal?
@timinjapan38363 жыл бұрын
Exellent! Showed use of the tool, having the double hump allows the tool to close the two "crimps" together making a solid connection. Just one thing, you only showed one size wire and, I think, one of the tools. Is heavier gauge wire crimped differently using the other tool?

You showed all of your crimps, and the terminals you used with #14 gauge wire. Which terminal and crimper is correct for the larger size conductors such as #12 and #10 which are used for a few of the heavier current devices?? It appears the male and female terminals (based upon the plug sizes) are the same physical size so are you supposed to use the "double wide" terminal for the larger conductors. I have one of your kits and can't find any direction regarding which terminal size to use for the #12 and #10 conductors or "Amp" ratings for the terminals???

For the 56 series male terminal when I try to crimp 2 wires on one which is one your OEM 61-64 impala kit says to do I can’t fit 2 wires on one. Was wondering if anyone could help with that

I'm having trouble getting a male 56 series crimped properly with single 16 ga wire, crimps wont curl/roll.. i couldn't imagine double wire.

Not once did you show the side of the tool so people could see where you have the wire positioned.

Open barrel crimping, no brush showing on the headlite terminal crimping operation. Otherwise, all good.

+1 on the poor design of the terminals used in the kit. Im going to switch them out to a deutsch style weather pack

Awful video...show the side view. Not clear on which side goes up! Have to pause and see how you grab the pliers to figure it out.

The whole crimping & spade connector system was a bad design from day one.
