Thank you for caring enough to share something I would never be able to see or hear.

😺👍 1904 433cc 3.5hp decompression lever, throttle lever, choke lever, ignition advance -retard lever, manual oil pump, front/rear brake levers, cycle start pedals, WOW! so many control levers back then, must have felt like controlling an aircraft on land!

I am surprised the front and rear brake were both on the right handlebar and the start and stop lever on the left. Surely the brakes levers either side would be better and the start and stop lever (presumably not used as much) doubled up with either brake. 🤔

@@handyjayes1 im glad they made all these hiccups and errors so we learnt from it since and have much better bikes today..

Love seeing these old machines on your channel, struggling to find decent vids on real classic machines on KZbin but you guys have got it! Thanks!

It sounds pretty similar to today's Royal Enfields. Amazing to see that they have preserved the character till date.

Certainly no need for mirrors. You'd be far too busy pushing and pulling levers to have time to look into them.... Can't help but think a small tension bar is required for that belt... Amazing 👍

mirrors were incorporated into the sides of riding goggles i presume!

Thanks mate.1904 ! Like wow.Was that the 1st lee enfield ? Must have been quite a hand-ful to ride.No clutch. But in those days it was horses, carts, carriages,so not many other mechanical stuff on the rough roads of the day.

Gorgeous bike and just how it should look. Isn't it dreadful when you watch a period TV drama and every vehicle is shinier than new?
