Love the Canyon bags most. Hope they find a solution for the exhaust heat.

I have used the givi dolomite on my Himalayan 411 across 7 countries and 45000 km, ou guys sent the boxes to me in Indonesia several years back Can u advise how to take the top box locking mechanism off the old frame. I assume the two circular caps are covering bolts.?

Only the Canyon bags look good on the 450. Who wants ugly plastic boxes? There must be a simple solution to install exhaust guards onto the frame.

Curious if you guys are planning any performance parts for this bike, like a decat pipe and better silencer. Cheers.

Derek, nice presentation. What I love at HMC is their love to the brand Royal Enfield. They are offering solutions developed by themselves. They know what bike riders looking for. Compare this to HD, you will find parts not as useful as they should be, partly with low quality and extremly overpriced. I wish there were more companies like HMC. Ride save and regards from Austria.

Cracking video. A bit I found funny tho: 1:48 "...something you could achieve at home" and then proceeds to 2:28 to achieve the change of the camshaft we're going to use two special tools which you, mere mortal, do not and never will have LOL

Let me tell you, having the camera opposite to the side where most of the work is done was a genius move

I'm sorry to say, this is of little help as you have done a great job of hiding what you were supposed to be showing. I'm an experienced mechanic and I couldn't see half of what I'd need to know to do the job just of one video. Sorry to say, you need to do this again with the camera actually pointing at the work process.

I purchased a SM650 two weeks ago and am considering accessories. I used to ride a Suzuki Bandit 600 that I outfitted with GIVI top and side cases. I found that the side cases would cause a headshake at high speeds on that motorcycle. I did some testing with and without bags fitted and confirmed that it was the side bags that caused the issue. My theory is that the areodynamic drag of the side cases and/or added weight caused the weight or downforce on the front tire to be reduced. this enabled a headshake to occur. The top case never caused an issue. That has made me reluctant to use them (side cases) ever since. While I realize the wheel base and steering geometry are very different with the SM 650, I am curious to know what riders say about effects on the bike’s handling with luggage attached?

I know each to their own but I wouldn't buy another Givi topbox or panniers again. Brought both for a MT07, the frames rusted in a year and all the boxes started leaking just out of warranty. Contacting Givi was a waste of time, I would recommend Shad. Had a topbox all through the winter and its never leaked.

I am looking at a 350 Bullet or the Classic, I can't decide which. Is it simply a question of looks or is there more involved? Does Hitchcock also have a larger cylinder to increase the displacement to match the 411 displacement bikes? I did own an old 500 Bullet but that engine required a lot of attention and this new 350 will hopefully be my keeper.

@HitchcocksMotorcyclesАй бұрын
Hello, the same tacho with a different fixing kit: accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/53243

I have the Meteor and there is no jerkiness at all and I ride in Thailand in up to 40c. I like the decat pipe and will also go for the DNA filter. My number 1 is the screen, number 2 passenger back rest. You don't mention that the Fuel X screws up fuel consumption big time...I have heard?

Thanks for the video and the cam! Heard many comments about the improvement with this cam, but few details. So I'll add mine. Installed the cam along with cat delete, Fuel X Lite and 16 tooth front sprocket and DNA filter. The bike is much more responsive, more drivable, maintains highway speeds (65mph) without a struggle. I feel the all around driveability is the most noticed. The bike just responds better to throttle input. Is it faster? Not much really. The bike was always fun, but now it is a blast to ride. Worth the price of the mods? I think it is. The bike is now what it should have been from the factory. Remember, it's still a 350 with 20 hp at the rear wheel. You want to go fast faster fastest, get a different bike.
@Martinus45AАй бұрын
Thx for the additional info👍🏻So you kept the original exhaust ?
@ralphrotten1639Ай бұрын
Kept the original silencer but deleted the catalytic converter with what others call a "bend tube". Just a straight thru pipe that replaces the catalytic converter.
