I use audible all the time and love it. I lai have kindle app and sometimes buy the book too so I can read when able. The apps sync so you pick up on the same page. It’s the main reason I’m with audible.

Oh this is super important info for me! The only reason I'm even considering Audible is because Apple will not allow you to transfer any of your purchased audiobooks to a non-Apple device, so I don't want to get in yet another situation where I'm basically leasing the books...

@@madamfussybritches9630 I think you get to keep it and can use it indefinitely on the Audible app, I don't know that they let you transfer it out of their proprietary app. So I believe that as long as Audible is a thing, you could access your books. I've had access to books I bought from them about 15 yrs ago, even though my subscription has been cancelled for over 10 yrs, through their app.

Forgive me if I’ve missed this in your other videos. But would you (or anyone) know if there is an app that reads a book to you (like audible) and shows the text of the book so you can follow along? Or do you, for now, have to buy the ebook and audiobook to do so?

As far as I’m aware these are still very much kept separate. I’m not aware of an app that does let you do this but it definitely should be a thing!

Without going back to confirm it, I'm fairly sure I read, while browsing that issue, that the Kobo e-reader (I have zero knowledge of versions of Kobo) can read the words and simultaneously move through the words in the book.

Using kindle, and buying both versions of the book, you might be able to. There's a feature called whispersync. Using moon+ reader, there's a text to speech feature. It might be a premium locked feature, but the app itself is probably the best reader on the market so is worthwhile buying anyway. The text to speech is fine as it uses different engines (I can swap between samsung and google by default).

No, the subscription price gets you the 1 book a month, the price varies from country to country but the subscription is £7.99 here in the UK

It has one major flaw, it doesn't tell you what chapter you are on and chapters you have previously read. How on earth does a user know which chapter they are on when returning to the book at a later time.

If you forget to use your credit... Do they roll your credit onto the next month or take it back?

It rolls onto the next month so the next month you’d have 2 credits rather than 1 and it keeps accumulating so you don’t lose them 😊

Just recently downloaded the app and looked at the subscriptions and all i see is the 16$ USD subscription. I dont see any other plans and paying 16 bucks a month seems a bit steep for me.

So I’m new to Audible. So I could get the audiobook on both audible and Amazon. But my question is what about if I want to buy the physical book can I use my Audible credit to buy the book.

As far as I know, you can't do this because they're kind of run separately. However you could always try amazon customer service?

No you can’t, you need the membership. I’d recommend Apple Books for this if you are an iPhone/iPad user

Sorry if this a stupid question. I just downloaded Audible and listened to a sample. I am not planning to listen to that book but that sample is showing on the bottom. I know it will change to whatever I will play next but how do I remove it from the bottom?

Hi! I’m not 100% sure if this is the right answer but I would try the select button and then choose delete or if you mean how to get the bar across the bottom to go away I’m not sure you can - hope this helps!

Yes you do need a subscription to listen to any books which I think kinda sucks. And no you can’t download them as mp3s as far as I can tell you just download them to the app! Hope this helps!

Because i have not had a subscription for 4 years, Audible can't reset my phone number and i have now lost access to my account and all the content that i paid a lot of money for. They know i have paid them, and wont give my credits to buy the books again.
