The Borg, in that regard, are more human than her. The Queen was threatening her, insulting her AND possibly offering to assimilate her willingly to feel connected. Theres a later scene with Jurati nd the bloke on the ship where he even says she refuses to get connected to other people, only machine.

Timeless! Future Harry, Chakotay and his female liason, find the borg temporal transceiver in a damaged borg ship in the Beta Quadrant, which in and of itself, may actually be the same Borg cube the Romulans capture in season 1 of PIC. There were after all, humans working on the cube project. But that future was changed, as Voyager didn't crash on the icy planet. But maybe not all events changed so drastically.

It is a plot device to get the Borg Queen in the show, no way they could have defeated the original Borg. With each encounter the Borg capability was diminished. In Q Who? the Borg would have swept away the Federation, the Dominion, Tribbles, but in The Best of Both Worlds the Borg are defeated by a common subroutine. In Star Trek Voyager, the Borg are being defeated by a race that has a really good immune system, it was needed as plot device to get them through Borg space. The original Borg have children, that disappeared after Q Who?.

They were originally portrayed as only able to adapt what they find rather than develop anything new on their own; something which meant that, so long as they could be held back long enough, any sufficiently advanced species to encounter them would eventually win unless they got lucky and assimilated something useful from elsewhere. It was later they started getting their own new research projects that didn't depend on stealing from others and became a viable long-term threat. Classic, original borg, without being dragged into human space by Q and finding us decades early? Would've been crushed by a post-Dominion War federation.... or Confederation.

I am LOVING how dramatically improved this season of Picard is. Especially the chemistry that is quite evident amunsgt the main stars of the show. For me, i feel that Agnes has come a very long way... yet still the meek and fragile person we got to know in season 1... Allison really shines in every scene she has been in, thus far. I think that when it becomes revealed who the non typical Borg Queen, that almost took over the Stargazer... it will be revealed to be Jurati. Big thank you to the entire team that has brought Star Trek Picard to us!

If you want more Q, look up a game called 'star trek: borg' - it's a surprisingly good cutscene movie that's mostly Q (since he's the narrator) and shows some of the stuff he was/will be/might have will have been going to be* doing during wolf 359. * time travel and grammar. It gets complicated.

Its a "gift" that Q needs. I wonder if maybe they go back to 2024 and he talks to Guinan again but in the past. She's the one who can sense timelines out of whack. She could be the Watcher. I think it has to do with making allies of the Borg and getting Picard and Laris ending up together too.

Already they had more information than they could handle and it was still pouring in with no signs of slowing! New information started overwriting old until everything was one big incoherent jumble. On voyager they seemed vulnerable to neurolytic pathogens; perhaps the confederation developed a virulent, fatal pathogen and infected them with it? Borg cubes are easy pickings if the drones are disconnected from the collective. They probably used Borg tech against them as well.

Its funny but I think in this reality to capture a queen is a very unprobable feat. Even for the prime timeline. If the Borg were really destroyed ok, but if not its just hard to imagine. Borg have the biggest resources and numbers in ships and manpower, even technology. How did the Confederacy managed to do that 🤔

I'm a little confused here. Did Qs clicking of his fingers affect the borg in the confederation universe after he'd body swapped picard, seven etc? Is this why the queen acts shocked? Like one minute everything was fine and then in the blink of a eye, she finds herself detained by the confederation?
