This prequel gives a heart-breaking element to the portrayal of Nurse Chapel's and Spock's interactions in the original series. As originally written, Chapel seems to pine for an emotionally unavailable Vulcan in a way that's, frankly, pretty insensitive to his culture. But adding this prior relationship makes it more like Nurse Chapel was pining for the way that she and Spock used to be and hoping she could reach that part of him again. Instead of a borderline stalker thirsting after a coworker, she's an ex-lover vainly hoping to rekindle the romance that he turned away from in order to honor his heritage and be true to himself.

The fact they brought the Enterprise D back for this show just proves that destroying it in Generations was utterly pointless. But also, introducing the Borg Queen in First Contact was a big mistake, and made Borg more... average, human. It also led to this super cringy video game style final boss defeat moment at the end of Picard.

If they ever did a playset of this cube it would be so big if they supplied an Enterprise-D with it, it would be the size of a penny 😂

I am not an emotional person, but I have watched star Trek since I was a kid. 30 plus years and my emotional walls are busted by one line...you matter to me. I held it together, stone faced, even, but when Q said that, I teared up and felt a huge pain in my heart. It was a powerful scene

Perfect Effect from the younger faces of booth persons. I think it is Deep Fake from the younger faces from Picard and Riker. So they have superimposed video versions of their younger images onto their real faces. But since they are their real faces with a younger face of their own superimposed onto them, the effect perhaps looks more realistic.
