I love that this mod shows off locations from the Expanded Universe and will showcase battles and events from there. They keep saying that they have a long way to go.

All EA did with the license was send their lawyers to hunt down every single Fan studio or modding group and shove a cease and desist down their throats. Which is why battlefront 2 went from playable to terrible, then they gave up on it realizing people would buy anything the spit out because they have no competition.

It's a shame how many people don't know about Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron and Elite Squadron. They were basically SWBF3. Even Elites Squadron lines up with the leaked story of 3

why couldn't the new battlefront just be a reskin of this kind of battlefront with a different story, sure it's lazy, but so many people would have been happy with that over what we got

the space -> ground transition was a cool gimmick but didnt make sense for gameplay. to split a 64 player match between those spaces wouldve made the game feel sparse and underpopulated

@@YETICOPTER well, this kind of stuff is really cool and niche, would be awesome for a map with either higher player limit or some sort of gameplay flow that makes it more likely for players to prefer a certain section at a certain time. Maybe a game mode with objectives instead of command post capture would make more sense for this kind of map.

@@YETICOPTER Don't agree, it makes perfect sense especially if you use the ships as initial spawn points before landing ground troops. Rather have that than the overly scripted meme of the EA games.

@@KaiserMattTygore927 that could be cool, but it probably never made it past the playtesting phase because having that high of a flight ceiling would make the maps incredibly vertical, air vehicle centric, and relatively boring to play as infantry. nevermind all the technical limitations at the time which is why we've basically never seen it done in any multiplayer game ever

Just downloaded this mod, I've had a couple of issues. 1 - while extracting the 'addon' folder from the .rar file it can randomly crash 2 - Having trouble getting it in full screen HD. Remains on low Res and not full screen. Any help? Thanks

yeah you need to move the addon folder into the gamedata folder other wise the mod won't load right

It's on ModDB, just download the latest file a d read the readme on how to install (basically just put the addon folder into your Game data folder and run the remaster installer if you don't have it installed already.)
