Vader’s OG castle was on Vjun and he kept sabers there like Kenobi’s from the Death Star duel. Vader was the second richest person in the galaxy and had castles and fortresses but Vjun was the main one pre-Disney.

I think he kept it, he does keep Obi-Wans saber as well. There are two issues with the theorys stated in this short is that this is taking place long after vader has his red blade amd long after Palpatine destroyed the Jedi lightsabers, because in the Vader comics the empire still is using clone troopers during that time, whereas in the clone wars finale they are clearly using snow/storm troopers

@@timalsept2854out of everyone, I don’t think Vader wanted ahsokas death. I fully believe Vader does not consider her a traitor or that she betrayed him. Even when they met later on he offered her a spot. Didn’t even show aggression to her until she refused. Even then, when he knocks her off the ledge, I doubt he thought he killed her. It’s not until “I won’t leave you, not this time” do I actually think Vader finally takes over and wants to kill Ahsoka. I know George wants it to only be Luke who could bring his father back. But given the character development Ahsoka has, she absolutely could have brought him back as well

@ my point exactly I completely agree. He tried not to fight her at all. And then when he did he held back trying not to kill her. He seemed like he missed her when he found her lightsaber. I don’t think it conflicts at all with ROTJ, Ahsoka didn’t save Anakin but I think she could have. He had no reason to believe she betrayed him, that’s not how he saw it. And personally, I don’t think he could’ve killed Rex either.

Vader is not only my favorite character in Star Wars, but my favorite character of across anything I just feel like he’s a reminder that all of us no matter how much we hate ourselves or no matter how much we think working soon by our own darkness, we can find the light again we can be good again I feel like I struggle a lot in life and I always tell myself this even if you go bad for a bit, you can still be good again even if you messed up you can try to do better of course I didn’t kill young legs, but what I’m getting at is how Vader was redeemed and however, everyone didn’t think he could be even himself

In the original Canon, Sidious was known to keep trophies. He had Luke's severed hand in a jar, along with Anakin's old saber. High probability it landed in such a collection.

Palpatine had his secrets from Vader and Vader probably had his own secrets as well. I think he did hold onto her lightsaber in hopes that maybe if he ever found Ahsoka again he could turn her and give her the blade just like he tried to turn Luke. Once he thought Ahsoka wouldn’t knowing how much she helped the rebellion, he thought it best to eliminate her. And when he thought she was really dead by his hand, he moved on past it until Luke

I think he kept Ashokas lightsaber as he did with Obi wan kenobi’s lightsaber in episode 4 pretty sure it can be seen on the side of him in the cockpit of his ship during the trench run. It makes sense he’d keep them as reminders of the person and Jedi Anakin was and to Vader as a trophy. If he was able to find his old saber after the events of Episode 5 that he would’ve kept his old saber if he found it after Luke lost it (and his own hand) Vader probably cut Luke’s hand off to prevent Anakin from resisting in attacking Luke and removing the lightsaber Anakin would be pained by the loss of his old iconic weapon used by his son. I could just be using my own ideas but it’s fun to imagine why he would keep sabers especially of Jedi he knew that were still alive

It’s confirmed that Vader didn’t use her crystal in his saber, because the one he *did* use came from a Jedi he hunted down in the canon Vader comics. Part of his trials to craft a Sith lightsaber was to kill a Jedi without having one. Now that’s not to say he couldn’t have *kept* the saber, but he most certainly did not use Ahsoka’s crystal in his blade.

For what it's worth, we know how Vader got the crystal for his red saber. It was taken from a jedi named Kirak Infil'a as seen in the Darth Vader comic by Charles Soule. Of course, Disney has shown themselves quite eager to override things from the books or comics, so who knows if that really counts? 🤷‍♂️

Well, Vader has had a miserable life. With his wife gone, his family ruined, and being treated like a slave by his master. So I feel like he kept the saber to hold on to that last bit of happiness.

Seeing all these moments, I feel that Vader always had a part of him wanting to return to the light. But like in Kung fu panda, Tai Lung got his apology from Shi Fu and had a moment of realisation of what he has done in his rage but he was too deep in to stop so he didn't stop his rampage. Just like that i feel like Vader felt he was too far gone to return even if he wanted to. His dialogues in ep 6 denote that too

I think he used it for an Inquisitor lightsaber in the Ashoka novel it says that the kyber crystal inside that inquisitor's lightsaber called out to her so my head cannon is that the crystals found their way back to Ahsoka in the end.
