And the most interesting thing is that they used a special cristal found on tatooine in their light sabers to grant their blades a silver color (NOT WHITE) and the cristal had huge absorbing powers towards energy such as sith lightning. Grey Jedi, the only healthy jedi minded jedi because they understood that full emotional cut off is an awful idea as well as giving into Sith full on emotion and greed. All you need to do is be a person who practices moderation but not rejection of emotions and joys. Balance of the force is as easy as being a normal person who isn't an asshole.
@ThanatosZero6 жыл бұрын
Jedi fight against their emotions, Sith give into their emotion. Both methods leads to identification, which empowers both the ego and the inherent traumata. Thus drama in- and outside are guaranteed. Disidentification is the key and the willingness to feel and to accept the emotions.

I agree. If the Force is of nature, and nature gave you emotions, to deny emotion is unnatural. Likewise if nature gave you the ability to control your emotions and act in consideration for other entities, then rejecting self control is likewise unnatural. You'd think they might have taken a hint from that.
@MrGonq4 жыл бұрын
I think to say it's easy is a gross overstatement. We know from real life not all life is created equally and everyone goes through life differently. You can't expect someone who's gone through nothing but hardship and abuse in their life to adhere to the jedi code of being emotionless, they're going to be angry, fearful, have hatred towards the people who made their lives hell. Similarly doesn't help that most jedi were taken as children and taught an ideology they didn't understand and to be deny their emotional development at a stage in life where thats crucial. The story we're told in the films is 100% of manipulation.

One could say the Jedi stared to long into the light and thus blinded themselves to the world around them just as the Sith stared to long into the dark, both so focused that they could no longer see the balance already present in the world around them. The Imperial Knights! They might not be much about philosophies or special Force techniques, but I sure like their concept a lot. Most likely founded by Jagged Fel and his wife, Jaina Solo, I always thought that they were a great symbol of the new Fel Empire, which itself was the culmination of the Empire's long redemption story throughout Legends (until the Moff Council [greedy bastards] and One Sith messed everything up). This is how I would do it. I always felt the biggest missed opportunity was not showing how Luke and Leia ran the order. That was one of the things that I feel would have made it better. Rey should have been Anakin reincarnated, explaining why she is so strong, her connection to the skywalkers, why Anakin's saber called out to her, why Anakin's ghost was absent, ect. Both he and Palpatine come back but in different ways, where Palpatine just puts his soul in another clone body, while Anakin, fearing the return of the sith, gives up his immortality and reincarnates into a completely different body. Rey and Finn also fall in love. Never was that big of a fan of Reylo personally as I always saw them having more of a brother/sister relationship than a romantic one. Rey would also actually have to train as well. xD Instead of just learning stuff that even the chosen one had to train for. She'd still be gifted but I felt she learned stuff too easily. You also could have not had starkiller base. Don't even mention planet destroyers until the final movie, where they release a coupe dozen star destroyers but they destroy well known planets like, Dantooine, Hoth, ect. Rey joins with Luke's new order and after Luke sacrifices himself to prevent Palpatine from killing them, 4 main Jedi go to Exegol to defeat the emperor. Rey, a scavenger and former slave who freed herself and the reincarnation of the chosen one. Finn, a storm trooper that was part of an experiment to artificially create force sensitive storm troopers. Ben, formerly known as Kylo and a former knight of ren, and Poe, a former Jedi from Luke's order and became a bounty hunter who uses the force. Poe, Finn, Rey and Ben join together to fight hoards of sith marauders and sith troopers and finally face the emperor. Leia unites the warring factions that were manipulated by the sith as well as the knights of ren and snoke and his loyalists. There are light sided, dark sided and even gray sided orders shown here, and they all have their own beliefs and agenda. Rey technically fulfills the prophecy since she is the reincarnation of the chosen one and she destroys Palpatine once and for all. Her being the reincarnation of the chosen one would really make the sequel trilogy feel like it's part of the Skywalker Saga. Think about it. Prequels showed Anakin's life as a Jedi, then the originals showed his life as a Sith and with the sequel trilogy, it would show the reincarnation of Anakin: Rey, living a new life and a new adventure. Now be honest, tell me what you think. I personally think something like this would have made the sequels amazing.

Why should I choose between the dichotomy of light and dark? They are both sides of the same coin, and I'd like to get my credit's worth.
@BlackEpyon6 жыл бұрын
@Tactical Bacon Are two sides of the same coin identical? No. I don't subscribe to the doctrines of either Jedi or Sith. There is ONLY the Force. Light and Dark are a subjective dichotomy more reflective of the user, and the mark they or others leave on the Living Force, than the Force itself. At least, that's how I see it.
@BlackEpyon6 жыл бұрын
@Tactical Bacon You are referring to our notions of morality and well-being, not the Force. You are also making a straw man of my argument by confusing the institutions with the side of the Force with which they align. To the Force, life and death are merely two states of the same thing. Everything that is alive comes from the Force, and everything that dies returns to the Force. The rise of the Sith is the expression of the Dark Side in response to imbalance brought about by an age of prosperity shifting the balance towards the Light Side. Once the Sith have won, they turn on each other, and in death they restore the balance. New life replaces the old, but excessive prosperity, in which life proliferates without check, is an imbalance, just as massive death tolls are an imbalance. Extinction makes way for new species that fill the vacancy, and the cycle repeats. Darkness rises, and the light to meet it. I do not speak of Light and Dark as if there could be the one without the other. The Force will always return to balance.
@BlackEpyon6 жыл бұрын
@Tactical Bacon The light side seeks LIFE and order, not balance. Balance is only achieved when life and death are present in equal parts, or where entropy and order are in equal parts, and when Light and Dark are equally represented. By definition, the Light Side dominating is NOT balance. You straw manned my argument the moment you brought the Sith into the discussion.
@BlackEpyon6 жыл бұрын
@Tactical Bacon You are diverting the topic again. Which dark side order one prefers to name is irrelevant to this discussion. Death must balance life, because unchecked growth consumes resources until they become scarce, leading to the collapse of the system, and the reverse also applies. To be unchanging is to stagnate, leaving one vulnerable and complacent. Therefore, chaos must balance order, and likewise, the system can not thrive if chaos reigns. Unless you're talking about thermodynamics, entropy is the same as chaos in this case.

The Original Jedaii order from which we have the classic Sith and Jedi we know anyways was a balanced light and dark order anyways. So the Grey is kinda like goin back to their roots. An have basically the strengths of BOTH with not neccessarily eithers weaknesses. Groups like "the doomed" existing and given their origins basically PROVED light and darkside orders could ultimately coexist and learn to work together an perhaps even respect and come to like each other if they really wanted too. But it also seems the light represses those emotions, with no outlet. Rather than not have them in the first place, and so are naturally unbalanced, even for all their meditation and "peace". The Revanites are definitely my favorite, also are the diamond shaped ships the same as the one from the start of the Mortis arc in the Clone Wars?

You said grey force users viewed the force as neither good nor evil but they do consider the force “benevolent”. Benevolent means good. If anything, the grey force users see the force as ambivalent
@thangvuong91963 жыл бұрын
The Pontentium sound like the most enlightened force users, truly understanding that the force was simply an instrument, the true evil or true benevolence emanated from the practitioner, the usage of certain techniques is not evil in itself, it is the intent of the practitioner that dictates the dark or light.

What about a highly materialistic group that believes that the force is a tool for them to use? They'd use both sides of the force (though they wouldn't try to maintain any arbitrary balance between the two unless there's a clear benefit in doing so), as well as advanced technology to achieve their goals.
@emmettcullen75204 жыл бұрын
One who doesn't commit to The Light or The Dark, is indeed balance of the force, which why I believe if The Chosen One Anakin Skywalker, was trained in being a lightsaber wielding and force using, human with no attachment to the light or dark, would have brought balance to the force.

As far as Jedi and sith. I'd pick Sith, but even then I don't agree with them entirely. I'd rather go dark side with a splash of light.

I would be a weird mix of sith (do to pashion, anger, and belief of manipulation) , sorcerors of rhand (well entropy will eventually destroy the universe soo i would embrace the dark quite alot), the potenium (i believe force users must have control over themselves), dark jedi (grey but embraces chaos), Night sisters way (aka believe same as sith but believes control over ones emotions is necissary in most scenarios), jensaari (i do believe jedi hold back the force WAAAY to much and are evil in a WAY cause so), the order of reaven (i do believe balance is necissary, cause think about it what makes something according to quantum physics and special relativity is a more complex form of nothing, and if nothing is considered evil via following the way of the dark, technicallythis implies jedi abilities can be turned pretty easily into twisted forms cause so creating new powers), je'daii (cause only the strongest must continue). Yeeeeeahhh i am WAAAAY to many shades all at once (mainly pitch black, but logical just like darth plaguies)

I feel like groups that try to balance the light and dark are the most true or enlightened groups but due to the amount of willpower needed to balance the corruptive dark side with the numbing lightside that its not a path most force users have the capability of traveling and thats why the Jedi are still needed.

Force sensitives are just heightened life forms in their universe, kinda like batteries. The "light side" is when you're connected to life around you drawing force energy from them, hence why one wouldn't be as prone to violence and can even feel their pain as a "disturbance in the force". Jedi have even described...whispers...as if they can hear the voices of life itself. The "dark side" is merely drawing Force energy from your own passion and emotions. A humans passions can be evil but it is not by definition, we also have the ability to be passionate for good. I think to be a proper Jedi is to Persue your passions while helping those in need. Don't dedicate yourself to others so much that you loose sight of who you are, and never focus so hard on yourself that you forget those around you. Balance in the force.

I find it weird that the Je-di and the Jedi are literally the same name just pronounced differently.
@revantheno-lifedemon8855 жыл бұрын
The Jedh'aii probably kept their name after the division and for linguistic simplicity rewrote their name as jedi after a few centuries. Pretty much like the british "colour" and the american "color". That is at least my take on that matter

My favorite grey jedi order, and favorite order in general is the grey paladins. They where a group of strategic jedi that used the force to push their body to the limits and accuracy with weapons. They believe that both the jedi and the sith depend on the force and light sabers to much. So most of them use normal blasters and stuff. They also believed that while the force does effect everything one shouldn’t depend on it, and they should try to boost their skills independent from it as much as possible. and thus most of their missions where very military like.

Jedi and even the Sith be talking about “brining balance to the force.” They just don’t get that THEY’RE the imbalanced ones. The Jedi are just as radical in their ideology as the Sith. Both are so polarized that they can’t see they’re the same. Gray all day, bae. This is the way.

The belief of the potentium is how people have tried to describe the force to me. That the dark side isn't part of the force it's just a perversion like a cancer. I would argue completely against that though if you think about the mortis arc.

As I understand the Gray Jedi - they state - The Force is a tool that has neither good or bad. Like any tool, it has both good and bad applications. How you apply the Force is what makes you Sith or Jedi. That is like owning a gun. The gun is neither good or bad. How one uses it relates to it being a force of good or a force of evil. that puts them between two rocks.
