This is very ‘Atmospheric’ Crackling Log fire, Lunch bubbling away, Romantic candle light, Where is Jamie when you need him! Is that the wind howling outside that I hear! I am watching this on a freezing cold day glass of Jamie’s ‘Sassenach’ in hand, this looks great on my 50ins. T.V. I think it's a gas fire and they are playing a loop of sound for crackling and wind. The logs never burn down. Massive gorgeous hearth though.

Ummm...... yeah? It's a very short recording put on loop. That's why it doesn't die down. They are not gas logs

How many man hours did it take to build the “big house” sets? I don’t remember Jamie having any help beside Ian and Claire at the time the first cabin was built but how many people were available to help build the “big house”. I don’t recall from the books.
