Actually, Silberman knew everything. As per deleted scenes from T1, the final showdown took place at none other than Cyberdyne's CNC facility and the robotic arm and microprocessor displayed in this film was taken into custody by Cyberdyne's engineers at the end of T1. Based on fan theories on Terminator franchise fandom page, Cyberdyne bribed Silberman to diagnose Sarah as a psycho so that they could cover up their tracks and no evidence could be left which corroborated her story as Lt. Traxler was already dead trying to fight the cyborg.

What's really badass is how much physicality Robert Patrick put into this role. He trained himself to look like he wasn't breathing when he was running. He got into such great shape that he was actually catching up to Edward Furlong on foot while he was on his dirt bike. He was literally chasing down a dirt bike. I think James Cameron actually had to tell Robert to slow down. That is definitely badass! 😂

Always loved that subtle moment when the T-1000 falls off the car, rolls, gets to it's feet and continues running even though there is no way it is going to catch the car. Relentless.
@aserta
@aserta 3 ай бұрын
Dunno if relentless is the right word - in this scene. See, he could likely run as fast as the car. There are no limitations and the state of things would be into his advantage, they would eventually run out of bullets, no... rather it was running to reclaim his lost mass. This is a underlying theme of the movie that's super understated. Once the T-1000 splits, one of the primary purposes of all split elements is to regroup with the main mass to the point where the ultimate goal of the machine "all" is taken down a notch (otherwise, you'd see the frozen state hook part climb up John's hand and kill him with spikes). We know there's nanomachines inside, since the polymimetic-alloy liquefies in proximity with the main body (there had to be nanomachines inside for that to happen). No, he's not being relentless, he's being smart. He knows he's far more likely to succeed his mission if all parts of him are one and mission confidence states he can complete his mission even if they run - because he has acquired the role of a police officer, which gives him the most likely chance to find them through the police network.

Here Sarah is thinking this Terminator is about to kill her. Then the Terminator ends up helping her instead. All she could do is look up at him in shock. It wasn't till her son John came along, and when the T-800 said to her "Come with me if you want to live", that Sarah realized he wasn't a threat. He was there to help her and John. Definitely a great moment in this classic film.

I sincerely appreciate the director maintaining plot continuity. He knows that after being locked up for so many years in the ward that Sarah would have plenty of time to ponder whether her worst nightmare would ever clone itself and come back. It makes perfect sense that she would be scared sh*tless and run after seeing it come out of the elevator.

That's one of the best shot scenes ever filmed. Just absolutely perfect the way Cameron had the Terminator step out of the elevator looking exactly like he did when she first saw him. So damn iconic. It wasn't really needed, but I wish Cameron had left the follow up scene with Silberman in the film. In the script, after they get away, the scene shifts back to the hospital where Silberman is babbling incoherently that, "she was right all along...it came from the future...walked through solid steel bars...his head just split in half...we're all going to die."

Besides being a mountain of a machine, with no obvious reason for being there, he is wielding a shotgun, signaling a very real threat. I love the fact that they are so busy trying to restrain Sarah Connor. They don't notice the T-800 walking towards them with a big gun 🔫 and wearing sunglasses 🕶️. Untill he throws the first guy threw the glass. It's pretty stupid on how that woman thought she could take down someone as big as him with a gun. With just a hit to the face. They should be grateful that it wasn't the T-800 from The Terminator (1984).

Robert Patrick is the best antagonist in the whole franchise. I remember the feeling in childhood every time I saw him. Fear, incredible danger for all and almost impossible to run away from him. BTW he trained a lot for this role. We can see it while he is running. That's I call 90's actions.

What's wrong with your eyes - is a theme through the movie and the T800 becomes fully human when he realizes why people cry. What a film. Also the "I see everything" line. Chilling. Also "Come with me if you want to live." Basically you have .5 milliseconds to decide. The Terminator wasn't going to throw her over his shoulder. She had freedom of choice. Quite a bit dfferent from Ahnold's "screw your freedumbs" of the later years.

As long as the T-800 wore his dark glasses he was a cold, impersonal, non-empathetic machine. A Terminator. When the female police officer knocks them askew, the T-800 gave her the smallest smile just before he shoves her down the passageway. When the T-1000 steps on them and breaks them the T-800 becomes more personal, more human like. A Guardian, not a Terminator. Well thought out. Nice touch.
