This video is about a StashAway Simple Update. There has been a change recently in their underlying fund for StashAway Simple. They also JUSTTTT re-optimised their StashAway Portfolios today on 21st July 2021
Starting 2022 Jan, MMF will be taxed for corporate investors!

Hi Suyin, any pointers in terms of money allocation for the portfolios and Stashaway simple? I find myself reaching towards investing in portfolios instead of the money market fund despite the lower returns from my stashaway portfolios.

Hi Michelle! Allocation is always dependent on the individual and what your objectives for your money. Portfolio side for me is for medium to long term investing, and simple is for short term somewhat keeping up with inflation (but not really, since inflation is increasing lately)

Actually still give a good return after checking my stashaway (10% return for two portfolio that I open); Just that it will be better if they can meet investors via google meet etc. Sometimes, statement ain't enough. Plus we do not have income portfolio like stashaway SG.

Great question. I’d look into the t&c and also the stability of the institution. From my perspective I believe Stashaway is very financially viable in their biz model and that’s why i’m comfortable after doing my own due diligence in investing with them. @@0162007131 Most welcome :) It's good to hear what other people say but it's also good to form your own take on it and learn to drown out the noise hehe I still remain to DCA as the strategy won't change when it comes to investing in a platform like StashAway. Am I 100% happy with their choice? Not really, but what I know is that when we have done our due diligence and passed on the control to them, then we have to trust. though that's still just my opinion :)

Just withdraw my entire stashaway saving yesterday, moving towards Syfe.

that's an interesting move ! Could you share with us your thought process?

I'm not familiar with what they are doing/how they are investing. Based on numbers, they are promising a return of 1.2% while Syfe at 1.5%. I have put in 3k (earlier than my younger brother) and had gotten back $3.27. On the other hand, my brother who deposited 2k with them, is already receiving $3.87. With a lower capital and has started slightly later than me, it's definitely a sign for me to jump over. Also, I have attempt to invest $100 in their 36% on March'21 and today at 400, my current return is - $2 (it was - $7 few days back). Whereas my girlfriend, who had invested in Syfe equity 100, put in 300 with them just a month ago, has received $10 - a sum that SA has yet to achieved. Highest was only $7 and it got plummeted few days later.

sure thing! My main portfolio is at rm1496 in returns after depositing 22k since July 2019. Before the recent re-optimisation and China crackdowns the portfolio returns hovered above 2.1k in returns for a long while
