Surely you’ve learned by now that music and art are entirely subjective and that just because you don’t like something it doesn’t meant “it has no soul” etc. Have you never gone back and listened to something that you thought was shit years ago, but now you find that you actually like it, or love it even? That’s happened to me so many times that I no longer judge music as being shit or soulless. If I don’t like it, I just judge it as being “not for me at this time in my life”.
