Stat Tips and Focus Guide | Series 1 Part 2 | For The King

For The King requires you to have a good understanding of your stats on how focus works to properly equip your heroes. In part 2 of the Fundamental and Team Build series, this video will give you all the tips you need to get going.

12:50 Correction. Ambush rolls off of Awareness, not speed. Speed impacts Movement around the map, amount of turns in combat, and also increases your evasion. That said, I agree with you placing speed in the middle section, since it's more of a situational stat than an overall important one. Though not really for the same reasons. It's MUCH more valuable on awareness based characters (Hunter, Trapper and Gladiator) due to it funneling into Evasion. The more evasion you have, the more valuable it becomes. This is why my end game Trinket/Ring slot item on awareness characters is the Hourglass (+10 speed). You usually can get 60+ evasion by end game on these characters, and almost always guarantee they attack first in a fight, which is exceptionally good if using something like the Golden/Royal bow which has a team wide Slow debuff.

I like all your videos, very informative. Not sure if it is just me, but you are extremely quite. On max volume I can barely hear you on my speakers or my car. Idk i feel like the ultimate goal in this game is to make everything less random, and while evasion is great when it procs, it's also the worse when it doesn't, armor is just plain good all of the time as long as you have both physical and magical about the same because if you don't it's mediocre because you can't defend well against half of the damage. Maybe evasion can be really good if you have a ton of it but i'm not sure how much you can realistically have.

You can technically get 100 evasion and never get hit. But really, armor doesn’t play a big role in the game. FTK2 will fix that though

I’ve been playing the game for a while and am starting to find out that you’re basically racing against time. Cause chaos will keep coming but we can’t rush the quests because maybe my party isn’t strong enough to take on certain tasks. So we try to farm xp in certain areas to only find out that chaos and scourges are stacking up in the mean time. What are we supposed to do in the beginning? Focus on quests? Do side quests to gain levels? Pls help. Thank you.

get the hero shrines cause they boost your early game so you can do those quests without building up too much chaos

@@prodphet Ty, I wanted to use the Wholloper in a single hero challenge. Since someone, I think, said you could only have one in any game. I'm already doing a Single Hero Challenge with the Busker on the easiest difficulty, just to see if it is possible. It's on DosDorquesGaming if you would like to check it out. Just got done with the Glittering Mines.

speed increases evasion so you could build a speed build with around a 60% evasion chance cause the best defense is to dodge.

This is true but the real problem is that most evasion builds are around Awareness gear. The problem is that Awareness weapons are the weakest of the classes. So the high evasion build is more selfish in nature and not the best compliment for the team.

@@prodphet I must disagree with that a smidge. I introduced the taunt hunter to my friends (hybrid evasion+speed build) and it's what we use in tight situations, even more so than the blacksmith. But our smith and hunter both keep a couple of taunts on them. We always get it to about +45 evasion by boss time and it makes a huge help. Sometimes we'll even cycle so our healer can get time to do damage too, lol. I don't think evasion can ever be selfish from a team standpoint, because you're trading at worst, some damage, for the chance to fully negate damage being done to you/a member. evade into taunt/taunt into evade up is also really nice.

@@blazeking5778 so the real issue is that you’re just building defensively. Of course lots of tactics will work in the game but they aren’t optimal. What ever you enjoy to play though, have fun with it

@@blazeking5778 So if you mean a full build out, the issue is that there isn’t tier 4 or 5 speed weapons. I love the newer armor but I don’t really consider that as a “build”

Good video but perhaps you speak a bit too slow and overexplain simple concepts. Playback at 1.5 or 1.25 speed seems much more enjoyable. Thats espescially true in the 5min segment about the 90 rule and focus usage. It could probably be put into an as equally comprehensive 1min segment. The information provided is good nontheless. Once you get the pacing down you'll be set.
