I agree that the video is fast, but I also appreciate that you get straight to the point. Some of the other videos I have been putting on 1.5x speed so I don't die before they get to the point. So, yes you talk fast, but we can rewind if we need to and I actually would rather you talk fast than slow. Thank you.

this is perfect man! so difficult to find videos that go straight to the point doing complex stuff. Most tutorials are too basic and takes a lot of time to get good content. thank you.

Sophie, the LCIR was dissolved by the state legislature. Some of its group and their data were moved over to the Office of Economic and Demographic Research (EDR). The related page is up on their site. I will update the description on this page because KZbin won't let me put a link in a comment.

Use the "reshape long" command to put it into long form so you have a column with year and observation ids (say cities). Your dataset should be set up with a city column that lists them in numerical format as [1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3...] for cities 1, 2, and 3 and another year column that lists year elements as [1990, 1991, 1992, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1990, 1991, 1992, ...] so there are city-year observations. Stata will recognize it as a panel with "xtset city year" then type "xtdescribe".

thanks! Any chances you could explain how to transform waves of cross section data into a panel? I'm struggling here...

Please it's possible to do a similar video going a bit more slowly and insisting on what is the problem and what to do. meaning insisting on the issue in the data and then the solution to bring.

hi Will, - could you give an updated link to the data source from Florida LCIR? I can't find the data source on their current website format.
