How do you pour your nail powder into the dapper dish? Mine state board kit came with it in the jar and it says “state board use only” so can that whole jar just be put in trash after I complete the nail. Or do they want to see the powder being put in the second dapper dish
@dianegallegos3 жыл бұрын
Yes I would put them in the separate dishes then when done with the nail, do as the video shows mix the two and dispose of them

On the state board information bulletin it says "2. Sets up manicure table (i.e., immerses working surfaces of non-porous implements in wet sanitizer)" Does this mean you have to have your tools in barbicide on your station. I don't remember doing this when we practiced in school nor have I seen anyone doo it this way but I just want to be sure. Any feed back is welcomed Thank you.

What’s a good tip for making the acrylic nail dry faster?
@dianegallegos3 жыл бұрын
Make your balls drier, the wetter they are the longer they take to dry, practice to get the right ratio
@Amanda-tb7km2 жыл бұрын
drain your bead before laying it down... not sure why she didn't do this.
@dianegallegos2 жыл бұрын
I used a drier ball as stated earlier, no need to drain. I did change out the nail for recording purposes only

Ms. Diane is there a nail tip already attached to the nail before you start and put the nail form in?
@gtran8523 жыл бұрын
Also is it mandate to use this kind of mannequin hand or can it be the new kind that u can attach/ clip to the table ?
@dianegallegos3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can purchase it with tips already on or you can put them on your self, before you go to the exam

My test is next week and I was taught to use gloves for this procedure which I find difficult to use with the nail form. Are you sure we don't need gloves?
@dianegallegos3 жыл бұрын
This test is for California, No gloves needed

Do files & buffers go in trash or items to be disinfected?
@dianegallegos2 жыл бұрын
They go in the trash, because they can’t be disinfected even if they say they can be, state board states they are too porous to disinfect
@brittr52732 жыл бұрын
@@dianegallegos thank you!! i take the practical tomorrow, your videos were a great refresher

Can you keep the file/buffer/ brush on the table as well as your own in case you drop or want to use them? Or do you have to only have a single set?
@dianegallegos3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can have extra supplies

Ms Diane can I also ask, is it mandate on the exam that you do a 3 bead method or can u use more if needed on the way when I see if the nail is not in balance? Will u be disqualified if you use more than 3 beads?
@dianegallegos3 жыл бұрын
You can use more if needed, points will not be

I’m sorry if you did not see the beginning of the video where I used hand sanitizer on my hands and my clients hand 🤚. If I do something to contaminate my hands like touch my face or the trash bag, then yes I would have to re-sanitize my hands. Thank you for your concern
