Hello could i use frozen figs in this recipe. Mine are Chicago hardy but i do t know what to do with them all. Thanks so much,T

Thank you. You demystified fig newtons for me. Why did you butter the pan underneath the foil.

It’s just an added precaution to ensure the foil lifts out of the pan easily. Sometimes the weight of the bars tears the foil as I lift up. Thanks for watching!

Hello- I am lucky to have a loaded fig tree in my yard. This recipe looks great! I was ready to make it now, but I'm a bit confused. In the video you said your pan was about 7x5" but in the description box you wrote to use a 9x13" pan. That is a big difference and I'm not sure which to use. Please tell us which is correct...Thank You!!! Can't wait to try it!!

@@HOPPRCYN the recipe is good for a 9x13, but I like a thicker bar so I opt to go heavy on the bottom crust in a smaller pan. Either way, you will love the result. Let me know If you make these.

Try for replying, I am making these now! The filling is cooling while we eat dinner and then I will continue with the recipe. I assume the timing is the same regardless of the pan? I will keep an eye on it and let you know how it is!!
