55:( minutes) into the conversation about loans giving to established a business in the Gambia and the reasons why it is not working for the Gambia is because of lack of education and good counseling of empowerment and holding the recipients of the loans ACCOUNTABLE by starting them with small increment of loans to prove their worthiness and credibility of sustainable revenue generators and continuing cash flow to be in a good position to hire more Gambians. As the saying goes teach people how to fish so they can become productive in society for LIFETIME and not give them a fish to feed themselves for a day by turning them into beggars. Instead we should assist people to become good providers and civil servants to their communities. I hope this helps Mama Kandeh..Great discussion by the way.
