Most of my travels are east of Lawton. I have had pretty good luck traveling between Wichita KS and Sherman TX using I35 in Oklahoma. I have a Cadillac Lyriq for the last 6 months and made 4 monthly trips without charger issues. I am a resident on the east coast but have accounts to manage in the mid-west. I do keep an eye on your post for updates about charger site conditions in the Oklahoma area. Thank you for your updates.

That’s one of the unfortunate oversight of the CCS1 design compared to CCS2 or Tesla plug where the car does the latching. If it fails to secure the plug to the vehicle, the charging session would not start. In order for it to release, you have to end the session from your vehicle, app, or at the charging station. There’s enough safety redundancies to prevent it from happening, but the J1772 was never designed to be a DC fast charging interface to begin with. I’m kinda glad that things are switching over to NACS J3400 where the latching safety is natively baked in.

My brother lives in Lawton and has a Model 3. Getting to Dallas is no issue but OKC needs more options. He has a Level 2 at home

CP, Tom M just did a recall video also. I'm watching your video now. Tom said they may reimburse you if you buy an A2Z adapter in the meantime. Tom's going to interview Lectron about the recall sometime.

@@Crazypostman As someone who lives in New York State, I am quite familiar with our state taxing our electric delivery charges, I am curious, does OK tax your regular home electric delivery and/or supply values, too? Or is that tax something only for EV stations? When you charge your vehicle at home, the electricity is part of your regular electric bill every month, is it not?

@@bikeny Oklahoma has added $0.03 per kilowatt hour tax to electric vehicle charging stations. charging stations with a charging capacity of less than 50 kilowatts are exempt from the $0.03 per kilowatt-hour tax on electricity used to recharge EVs.

I'm going to keep my ICE Chevy Impala for road trips. Charging infrastructure is not reliable and the Tesla charging department layoffs discouraged me even further.
