I thinks in sod2 it is technically shorter than day, just feels longer. But sod3 should add moon cycles so every night looks different. And I agree. Literally my only complaint with sod2 is the lack of maps. I wish they would just release one or 2 new ones a year. Hell i'd even pay for maps in dlc.

At 3:54 you reference a level cap, what are you talking about? I've been playing since the beginning of the franchise and have never seen character levels. Are you referencing skills? I haven't seen any reference to character levels in the past so if theres some sort of mechanic you are referencing id like to learn more about it

Please make apocalypse themed outfits and not just modern clothes, I would also appreciate character development physically like beard growth, hair growth, brusing from fights stay for a while, damn maybe even scars, just better character detail, I wouldn’t hate character customization either 🤷

We need an actual storyline alongside the survival simulation aspect. But I think they should definitely add onto the simulation aspect as well, I want to feel like I’m actually building a relationship between the characters in my community. I want certain characters to gravitate towards other characters, some characters wanting to go out and scavenge with you while some simply refuse would be a nice addition that could definitely flesh out the simulation aspect. I also think it would be cool to have romance added and even aging, possibly even the ability to have children with a significant other during the apocalypse. That would definitely push the line a bit but I think it would add on to the realistic factor of state of decay. Larger communities would be cool to see, instead of always seeing a community with only 3-5 people. I hated that my community always felt the biggest, also I think when you recruit someone from a different community instead of that disbanding the community it should either hurt or strengthen your relationship with said community based of your previous interactions with them.

One solid character that you can lvl up learn skills and all that would be completely different gameplay.

I think if they introduce crafting like on the scale of once human/Conan deal. Like give people the choice of a settlement or let them build their own custom one... I mean fight a zombie dear with antlers seems hard to animate .. undead labs doesn’t have all that money nor ppl either cause I’m considering joining them here in the future.. I have almost a full year played on sod 2 hours. But preference a zombie wolf would be easier but small animals like a skunk for the game mechanics might be hard.. that’s like for first player shooter games tbh.. like far cry stuff.. I’m guessing since a head director did point out there definitely new freaks on this game from the mutation getting worse.. food and drinks are now said to work completely different. There’s a set a new race for characters like Indian, Arabic, Russians, and more.. the entire friendly and enclaves around the map are completely tweaked and have a whole new approach and story.. cars are way more important and have actually repaired need for them.. just everything in sod 3 is going to changed.. hell even loseing ur players is going to hurt like hell and make u cry . The death animations are completely terrifying and u actually pay tribute to them instead of looting the corpse and dipping its a lot ngl 😭

The biggest problem with State Of Decay is it's lack of interesting characters, I know this probably wont get fixed, but I really think this holds the game back completely from a bigger viewer base to even player base. I understand that it's the 2020's where all the characters have to be ugly, gay, and boring, but they really need to work on this. They can say "inclusion" all they want to, but I personally think this just excludes a lot of players who want good looking characters. Demographic is far more important when it comes to business here.

I first played the first installment of SOD(1). It was a pleasure to play but didn't live long. It was too short of content, and the story wasn't that engaging. SOD2, though, was a pretty good upgrade to the original SOD. So, when I hear that Microsoft and Two big time developers are helping with the third installment! I just hope i don't die before it comes out! Lol

SOD 1 was the more realistic one if you count the assets. The developers aimed to make an game inspired on The Walking Dead, yes the game was short in content because of the limitations of the engine they were using. SOD 2 seems a bit "generic" compared to first game. Of course it have been a improvement over a lot of aspects of the first game, but at the same time it have things the first game didn't have, the first game have things that the second game should have as well. So now we will have the third game, that promises a lot, and I'm sure it will be great, we have Undead Labs, Obsidian and the devs from Day's Gone working on it. So yeah, they ain't joking around, this got to be the biggest improvement of the series
