Prayer is very important and has been made superfluous. When I was a small child, we prayed in school, everyday. We recited the Lord’s Prayer and Psalm 23. We said the pledge of Allegiance, sang a Patriotic Song, then the Prayers. It was a wonderful start to our day. Unfortunately, it no longer happens. Many children have no instruction in Heavenly things. Thank you both.

22:35 What you said about people out there needing someone to see they are not alone with their mental health struggles is so so true. That's exactly how I felt when I discovered your channel years back. I felt less alone, less like I was going crazy. If I ever get the pleasure to meet you one day, it's exactly what I tell you. You have helped me so very much, and I'm sure SOOOO many more people

I so love your show State of Mind and I love you on GH. I loved the interview shown Sunday with Carlos Rota. It was informative and entertaining as well. The only thing I do not agree with is that you would rather have gray hair. You are so handsome with the black hair, the "Sonny Look" and I do agree with as you stated..."the powers that be" on this one. I love GH and remain a steadfast fan for one main reason is you Maurice. I tune in on Hulu every night and it is because of you and the character you play is done so well. I do not agree with the writing many times as I feel it is poorly written many, many times. I am a published author, so I get some credence in saying this. I write fiction and my trilogy I published years ago, was basically because I watched soaps all my life from my pre-teen years up til my older adult years. My trilogy is a soap opera basically told in novel fashion. I love your show "State of Mind" as I understand mental illness as I grew up in a family suffering from it. I lost my grandmother at barely turning 13 years old in a way that should never have happened to her. I won't get into all the details, but she basically died in my arms. That literally threw me for a loop. I sunk into a deep depression and this lasted over 3.5 years of my teen life. I basically did not get to live my teenage years as I didn't recover from this tragedy until the age of 17 and grief as it is known, never ends. You will always have reminders in life about those terrible things that life throws at us, but we learn to cope, to muddle through, to survive and to deal with it. We move on but we never get over it. Depression is a terrible thing and as you were saying anxiety is your "Freddie Kruger". I get you Maurice and your show is such a blessing to all of us. I didn't have intense therapy when I went through what I did as at the time was the mid-1960's where no one talked about mental illness, much less knew hardly anything about it as we all do now. It was taboo to discuss such topics and so everyone kept quiet and just did the best we could to get through the horrible happenings that would occur in people's lives. What got me through all of it was knowing how much my grandma who was my childhood idol, my best friend; loved me. I know she's there in spiritual ways and always has and will be for me until life ends. I believe that. I went through 3.5 years of therapy much later in life for other reasons and it helped in my life, so I agree with your advice which is very sound indeed. Thanks Maurice for being such a representation of we humans who understand the suffering of mental illness and I thank you for being a solid place all of us can continue to turn to. I will continue to be a fan for always of you. Again; You are the main reason for me following GH! Thanks for your wonderful "State of Mind" and I am your forever fan on this too. I have your book and I will get to it soon. Can't wait to learn even more about you. Big Hugs to Paula, your son Joshua (Loved him on GH too) and your other children and your fur family too and a huge hug for you Maurice!

I am so glad you talk about God and you talk about prayer. I think even people who are skeptical could really benefit from taking a leap of faith and reaching out through prayer. I know I did at a very difficult time, and I was not sure even what I believed. I really think it changed my life. And not to get too preachy but I had no idea how much the Bible actually addresses anxiety. The first time I went to church as an adult, the sermon was about anxiety, and I will never forget one of the scriptures that was shared. It always stuck with me Philippians 4:6 and 7 Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus

Hey Maurice! Hey Carlo! 👋 👋👋 I'm loving the new storylines with Sidwell.. he's a sneaky little villain with a lot of tricks up his sleeves. Since the Cassidine's are all gone Port Charles needs a new, charming, wealthy, but crazy & evil villain, lol.. like the good old days of GH 😉. I'd love to see more Sonny, Jason, & Carly scenes/storylines as well. I'm loving the Carly & Jack Brennan scenes/storyline because they have amazing chemistry together.. but there's nothing like the 3 musketeers together ❤️. They are at their absolute best when they're all together 👌. Keep up with all the great things you're doing for mental health/illness & awesomeness. Your voice & strong leadership is very much needed right now 💪❤. I love the podcast Maurice almost as much as I love my favorite mob boss with those adorable dimples & a heart of gold Sonny Corinthos ❤🔥.. I'm a very loyal, forever fan of General Hospital 💖🙂💖🙂💖
