This is my first time watching State of Mind. I watched it because I am a huge fan of Evan/Dex. I really enjoyed the episode and I could really relate to the talk about how the pandemic increased people's anxiety. It definitely has for me and its something I fight with often. My son was also bullied as a child. At 6, we brought him to a karate school. He because a 3rd degree black belt. No one tried to bully him again after they saw what he could do (he taught a couple of bullies lesson!). It is a very helpful thing. I am thankful that they taught him self-respect and self-esteem. Now he is a sensei himself and he is respected.

I so love that you are doing this, Maurice. It is so important to bring these illnesses to light so people know they are not alone. When I was young, I would have deep depression for years at a time and I remember describing it to someone else who felt they could not go on. I told them it was like being in a tunnel with no light and you just had to keep putting one foot in front of the other until you finally reached the light with no idea how long or how far you would have to go. Thank goodness I haven't had that for a number of years now. My brothers suffer from bi-polar though and it is no joke. It is frightening and isolating. People should never feel frightened and isolated for a medical condition. We have a long way to go to correct it and people like you are shining a light on it. Good job.

I love what you said Maurice about being an actor on GH, i have always said that would be the best job, i know some stress comes with it but yes, i see you all at GH as my family and to get to work with you all would be amazing, but i have no experience what so ever 🤣 but that wouldn’t stop me from trying to audition 😆i was born in 1963 and GH was too ! It was my momma’s soap and it’s mine ❤

I am anxious to see where they take Evan's character. And I'm still invested in seeing how your Sonny character evolves post Carly. I'm starting to think him ending up with Nina isn't as possible as it may have seemed, which could be interesting. Anxiety is such a challenging state of mind (pun intended 😁). So many people suffer in silence with it because of the continued stigma. Anxiety and ego definitely don't mix well. For actors I can't even begin to imagine how hard dealing with it is.
