What a terrific interview! I just feel more enlightened just listening to you two talk. I didn't want it to end Maurice. I love when you tell us to stop worrying what others think about you. I wish people realized how important that is in life. Thaao is so interesting and I bet he has so much wisdom from his travels. I would urge your son to just experience life and get out and see the world. I plan on traveling now that I am older. It is never to late to make your dreams come true. I remember first watching Thaao as Tony Dimera on Days of Our Lives. As a little girl, and still now, he comes across as the most dapper, handsome man. To me he emulates the same interest and charisma of Gregory Peck or Cary Grant. This was such a great low key interview/chat to listen to. And glad I did- had no idea he was Australian, I always assumed he was Greek!!❤

Maurice I just finished watching SOM with you and Thaao! It was beyond my expectations. What an incredible man to listen to. Thaao has always intrigued me through out the years on GH and DOOL. These were always my main soaps to watch. I also watched AW and AMC haha. I’ve never been to Australia always wanted to see the country . But I did go to Israel for 10 days. It was absolutely fabulous. I would love to tell you about it someday if interested. Thank you and Thaao so much for this. You’re right he’s amazing just to watch as he talks. Travel is so important to see different cultures and experience different things. I've lived in Sardinia, Italy and Costa Rica at different times and traveled to all continents except Australia and Antartica. For me the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen (including the Caribbean) are in Sardinia (particularly La Maddalena and the surrounding islands). I've never seen such clear water anywhere else. At 150 feet deep, you can see straight down like the bottom is a foot away. It's crazy. If you can deal with a cruise, you won't have to fly. Anyway, great interview!

I ve been watching both you and Thaao for so many years and the one thing I had always noticed and latched onto was the body languages that you both would exude and perform in your characters. Is Thaao from Australia? I never even knew that i thought he was from a different country because one He's dark skinned and the character he was playing on Days. I never even knew that his accent was from australia. Is that what i'm understanding he was born over there?🤔 I just love this interview, and he's one of my favorite actors on days. @Elizabeth Gonzalez - He was “Victor Caassadine “ on “General Hospital” - during the time Luke and Laura were on the island, when theCassadines were going to freeze the world - Ice Princess storylines - summer 1981. It was before they got married in November 1981. Princess Diana’s wedding was shown on the tv, on a green screen.

Being the first to walk into that Egyptian tomb after 4000 years must have been so amazing, and then finding a necklace and that bit of cloth? What a story to have. And it absolutely made me laugh that when he was hired on GH the prevailing attitude was that American audiences wanted to hear American accents. Because I was 12 going on 13 then, used to GH always being on when I'd get home from school, because my mom watched it. And it was no talking until it was over. So I'd sit down on the couch and watch the last 10-15 minute segment with her, got to know the main characters. And then a new storyline started, and suddenly there were three new attractive actors with lovely foreign accents -- Thaao, Tristan Rogers, and Andre Landzaat -- and I was hooked immediately. I didn't want to go on summer vacation that year because I would miss GH. VCRs were just becoming a thing back then, and I found someplace that rented them and I learned how to tape GH for the week that we were gone. Honestly it's the only technological advancement that I ever truly embraced with open arms. And when Thaao left GH, I followed him over to DAYS and got my mom hooked on that as well. Good times. I used to buy so many soap magazines during my teenage years; I even remember Thaao sharing his vacation photos with Soap Opera Digest and writing a little article to go along with them, which I thought was so nice and generous of him. He always gave off the air of being a true gentleman and it was a delight finding this and listening to him.

If I remember right he was the first Victor cascading (I think I spelled that right) on GH. Really great actor.
