Considering the unique features of the Richard Mille RM 26-01, acquiring this timepiece involves a different approach than traditional watches. The RM 26-01 boasts a tourbillon movement, making it a rare and exquisite investment in the world of horology. Its limited production and intricate design suggest potential appreciation in value over time.

Absolutely, investing in luxury watches like the Richard Mille RM 26-01 requires a keen eye for craftsmanship and a long-term perspective. Beyond its timekeeping function, the exclusivity and brand reputation associated with Richard Mille can contribute to its value as a collectible item. Consulting with a watch expert or collector can help navigate the nuances of this unique investment.

I completely agree. At 55 years old and contemplating a significant watch investment, I've been eyeing the Richard Mille RM 26-01 as a potential addition to my collection. With the intricate features and limited availability, I recognize the need for expert advice in making such a purchase. Do you have any recommendations for a trustworthy watch advisor?

This aligns perfectly with my interest in expanding my watch collection. Could you share the contact information of your watch advisor for further guidance?
@OwenFlex8 ай бұрын
It's fascinating how the right advisors can make a significant difference in unconventional investments. A few years back, I sought advice when considering a rare Patek Philippe, and it turned out to be a wise move. Advisors with expertise in niche markets can help navigate complexities and enhance the investment potential of these unique timepieces.

Nice watch collection. Cool that you gifted your SARB033 to your twin brother. For your "End of 2024" state of watch collection video may I suggest more pictures and images of the watches and more of you talking about each watch as audio over the watches.

Hello, At the beginning of the video, I said to myself "here again, a perfect KZbin collector" ! A Grand Seiko, a Rolex, an Omega, a Casio, ... So I was expecting, for example, a Tudor and then perhaps a Royal Oak. But I certainly wasn't expecting three other Grand Seikos, and not the most well-known of the brand! In the end, if I had your financial resources, I probably wouldn't have exactly the same choices as you (with the except about the White Birch and the Explorer) but I must admit that I appreciated your collection and what you say about it. Thank you for this video!

Last month i had four Grand Seikos in my collection. I am down to two now, and will soon be listing another for sale. I am keeping my SBGA211 though. However your spring drive white birch looks amazing and is quite tempting to add to my collection.

Awesome collection! This is the first time I've commented but I've been watching your videos for the last few months and really enjoying them. I've chatted with your brother over the last few years about canoeing, and I'm happy to now be exploring a new passion of watches! My collection hasn't really begun yet but I'm hoping to make my first luxury watch purchase in 2024! It's down to the Seamaster, the Aqua Terra, the Superocean, and the Superocean Heritage. Your videos have helped me narrow it down to these choices. Keep up the great content! Merry Christmas! Pete P

Thanks very much for this fine video, Toran! I really appreciate the whole tone and style of your videos, to say nothing of the wealth of valuable information provided. What strap do you have on the White Birch? It looks great and I’m always looking for new strap pairings with my (high beat) version of this watch. Merry Christmas!
@EverydayWatchGuy8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. The strap on my white birch is a bespoke blue alligator leather from TerryCrafted. You can check out Terry's work on Instagram if you are keen on getting some custom made. Take care.

Beautiful pieces, for sure. Nonetheless, these are far, far, far beyond my price range and I simply cannot relate to such high-level pieces, nor can I comment on their relevance as watches that I would wear. All power to you on owning such exquisite watches. Blessings for the Holiday season and for 2024!
@jirskyrjenkins19598 ай бұрын
That's the hardest part of watch collecting; so many beautiful pieces at brutal prices. Don't get me wrong I personally have 40 watches in my collection but the total retail purchase price of my collection would be approx 70% of Toran's 11-piece collection.
@EverydayWatchGuy8 ай бұрын
Thanks for your candid feedback. I admit that the budget for my timepieces has escalated a fair bit over the years, but it's also influenced a lot by this great watch community. I have been lucky to get to know many experienced collectors and AD's that have helped me obtain some of these watches or lend them into the channel. I try not to collect based on pieces being high-value, but on what I connect with or what I think would make good content. All the best :)

The IWC Mark XX is not an available? Also the Explorer 2 can be had under retail, if you shop around. I am a big fan of Grand Seiko. I bought a Snowflake when it came out and I wear it the most of all my watches. Great watch.

The IWC Mark XX is available, perhaps just not near my location in South-West Ontario. I'd really like to try out the white dial XX, if given the chance.

Thank you for all the great contents you make. Especially appreciate the scenery shots, you live around some beautiful nature spots! Now knowing that the Tentagraph is gone, I wanted to ask your honest opinion on the 9SA5 series movements. The dual impulse gets compared alot with the co-axial, but the co-axial had actual advantages that was apparent in real life usages when compared to what was marketed, but now that you have the 9S85, do you see the advantages? Of course the 9SA5 series has a great looking layout and the finishing is gorgeous for a no-hand finishing movement, but I just can't see the dual impulse, the one out of 80 thousand over coil design, and the dual barrels having any mechanical advantages to the performance, in which would have been nice because those parts are difficult to manufacture and the fundamental reason for using them were originally created for raising performance rather than for marketing.
@EverydayWatchGuy8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the insightful comment. From a technical standpoint, the 9SA5 impressed me with it's lengthy 80-hour power-reserve, while operating at a high-beat frequency. I will say that it takes a fair bit of manually winding the watch (60-70 turns of the crown) before the movement get's going. I can also see the dual impulse escapement having benefits on the longevity of the hi-beat movement, but of course I haven't owned a GS for long enough to require service, lol. Cheers.

Thank you for the reply. Looking forward to a review of the 9S85 diver!

I don't have your budget unfortunately but I'm doing fine in the $1000-$3000 range. Have 8 solid pie es in ny collection. Aspiring to my first Grand Seiko.. Probably quartz. Any suggestions?
@EverydayWatchGuy8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I think a quartz Grand Seiko would be a great addition to your collection. I would highly recommend a 9F GMT model from GS. The SBGN003 or SBGN005 are great examples and can be found in great condition on the secondary market 👍

Hi. Would you recommend the iwc mark xx or blackbay heritage with red bezel
@EverydayWatchGuy8 ай бұрын
great options and I don't think you can go wrong with either the Mark XX or red bezel BB. They are kind of different watches too (pilot vs. diver) but if I could only pick one as a daily timepiece, I'd probably go for the Mark XX on a bracelet. It's very versatile, has a longer power reserve and date function, as well as being thinner and comfortable on the wrist. Not to say that the new BB jubilee bracelet isn't comfortable, because it's also amazing.
