Hi, it is very informative KZbin broadcast. What I understood from this conversation that if patient is having BRCA 2 Pathogenic and HRD positive, such patient can remained away from cancer recurrence for longer time than other nagative BRCA & HRD nagative patients? Is it true?

Yes, because the patient with HRD positive testing, respond better than others with paarp inhibitor targeted medicine like olaparib tablet

My initial diagnosis 5 years ago- LGSC stage 3 treated with debulking surgery and chemo. I was NED for 5 years and it has just reoccurred and spread.

So what is the treatment prescribed for the recurrence. Please inform me 🙏

My treatment was based on the size of tumour. Three rounds of chemo to shrink the tumour - surgery - three more rounds of chemo. However I didn't have the surgery as a CT scan shied the chemo had shrunk the tumour so much so it's undetectable now I'm considered no evidence of disease. This outcome was not part of my original prognosis and I am still adjusting to the results. Finished my last round of chemo on the 14th of December am awaiting another CT to ensure Ned.

@@Leondra72 nice to hear from you. Please inform if you were on any parp inhibitor, targeted treatment 5 years back, after the initial chemotherapy treatment was over with???

I disagree currently the odds of reoccurrence are high.
