We usually get raided by alliances whose players are at least ahead of us by 15M. During that time, we decide not to send reinforcements, and instead just hide in the blast shelter. Fighting off a feeder-of-lower-levels is pointless. They outrank your alliance by at least 20 places, outnumber you in terms of active players, outgun you, and overpower you by at least 15M (each of theirs over power each of your alliance members by 15M). If you fight by reinforcing each other, you will just end up losing troops. Hide in the shelter. Use up all your resources. Upgrade the warehouse as high as you can. Best case scenario, you get 1K troops wounded, 0 troop losses, at least 5M losses for each type of farm-able resources... and the poacher that tries to raid you will get whatever resources that your warehouse can't hold, but will also incur troop losses by the hundreds. EDIT: I will have to say that sheltering your riders and hunters seems to make a lot of sense. Infantry are tough, and will most likely survive... but will eventually perish in the face of a poacher who overpowers you by 15M

Hi Ember, im pretty new to this game only at level 12. Question, what if we keep the resources lower than the warehouse protection? I am assuming the reason for these invasions is to gain resources. What if there is no resources for them to gain wouldn’t that be the best way to discourage such attacks?

Hello Soroush Mir! Yes, yes & yes! I do exactly this. Even being one of the largest bases in both my states, I have made it a habit never to open more than I need & always keep everything running. There will always be players looking to increase their kill count, but most attackers are looking for resources. You’ve got the right idea!

It’s Ember thanks for your detailed message 👍 another question, the top player in our alliance suggests building cheap units as they take much less time specially cheap infantry saying they would be the first to fall when you are under attack. He only makes high tier units when he is going to bed as the queue is 10 hours. What do you recommend? Do you always build the highest tier or you make a mixture?

Interesting approach, and may be better suited for F2P players as they build up their settlement, though I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it past that. I focus on building the top 2 tiers as I progress through the HQ levels on a new build & only T9/T10 after. The reason being, that while infantry health and defense is high, each level of Rider & Hunter attack and lethality gets much higher so low level infantry will end up costing you not only those low level infantry, but also your hunters and riders since infantry acts as a barrier for them. If you’re on my personal server, you can access my troop leverage charts to better understand this. I hope that helps.

How to increase power quickly?

It’s easy to increase power quickly by training mass amounts of troops, though that not the best idea. Research is most important and yet add the least amount of power. Having a good balance is better than just getting big fast. Hero gear, chief gear & medals add power quickly that does matter though. I hope that makes sense.

I have played games where having multiple layers for a meat wall, or numerous levels to take into battle gave an advantage. After extensive testing, I wasn’t seeing the same results here, and in a recent update they added leveling with common (t1/2), uncommon (t3/4), rare (t5/6), epic (t7/8) & legendary (t9/10) troops. This confirmed my theory that the real benefit in these troops is understanding leverage & the various boosts each has as level increases. I am actually working on a video about this too.
