Now yall discuss distortion without knowing where it came from. It's true that X mastered it, distortion was huge in the 2016 underground Florida wave, known for the songs being authentic and unpolished. It faded after X's death, music got ''normal'' until Rage became popular. Rage was more EDM-influenced with the synths, synth basses and eventually distorted 808's followed. I don't think Osama's music being unpolished and too distorted is a good argument if it made such big moves in 2016-2017.

Yea but there’s a difference. X was hitting a hard rock demographic when he had the distortion shit goin on. Osamason demographic r teens of this new generation. His glitchy flow doesn’t always gotta be on sum distorted sh. It’s just beat selection he gotta try new shi he did it on his newest album but still a majority was the same distorted sh which is cool but his flow could go crazy on a variety of different type beats

So many missed angles in every argument bro.. How can Jace being mainstream even be a conversation when most of his hype comes from criticizing the underground? Getting mainstream off of underground interactions would imply the entire underground (and the Great 4) are mainstream right now. If you don't cater to the mainstream, you won't become mainstream.
