[STATE PARK SERIES] CHECKING OUT 3 PENNSYLVANIA STATE PARKS IN BALD EAGLE STATE FOREST!

Tag along with me as I check out three really awesome state parks here in Pennsylvania! Poe Valley, Poe Paddy, and Reed's Gap State Parks! I'll be exploring the campgrounds, hiking past historic ruins, water tubing on a cold creek, and walking through a dark railroad tunnel!

I was at Poe valley last month in July camping with my tow behind. Wrong time. All the cabins were occupied by teens with chaperones. Not a bad bunch. Just riding their bikes around, until they moved beside me and the adults were noisy making us leave early. Not fun towing up the mtn in 10 miles of gravel. Went to Poe Paddy to visit and on the way back made me motion sick both times I went. Beautiful park. Too bad it's hard to get to. Won't be going back. Thanks for your video!

Thanks for watching! Yeah that road in is no joke, especially if you are hauling. And unfortunately, like your experience, I have read reviews about loud crowds and obnoxious campers at both poe paddy and Poe Valley. I'm sorry it wasn't a good time for you 😐

Complaints about the gravel road but look at the big rigs in the campgrounds at Poe Valley and Poe Paddy! So the road is sufficient for travel with an RV. The whole idea of the state parks is to be able to experience the natural world, I believe. Why the fear of gravel roads? Slow down and enjoy the ride.🙂

No I understand what you are saying. I know that it might have been a little irrational to have been so fearful but as someone who has dealt with anxiety most of my life, I tend to be cautious and timid in those moments, especially in areas I've never been. I had limited resources at the time, like an older, low clearance 2WD minivan. Of course everything turned out fine and I had a great experience out in nature, but one big rock sticking up just a little too far up could have ruined the whole trip for me. In all I was just trying to give everyone an idea of what to expect! I appreciate the comment and thank you for watching!
