Introduces the concept of state feedback and demonstrates how this has an impact on the poles, behaviour and steady-state. Demonstrates the need for systematic design methods as a simplistic approach is not manageable in general.
Lectures aimed at engineering undergraduates. Presentation focuses on understanding key prinicples, processes and problem solving rather than mathematical rigour.

Thank you so much professor for your teachings through these videos. I came here when I was lost with state space feedback. Now i realized you have many other mini series too which I am sure are also great and I am planning to watch them all. Deeply thankful for your lectures.

That cough at 5:29 scared the piss out of me. Great video though. Really helped me understand state feedback.

Great video and explanation! Thank you! If I may give some feedback (pun intended), it would that you look into de-essing for the audio. There are free plugins for Audacity (a free audio editor) that make a significant impact on audio quality after some fiddling with the settings.

Well explained. Thank you. Just a stupid detail in the 1st example, the 2nd root of eigenvalue with state feedback is 4.37 (not 4.27). I appreciate how your explanations are clearly given.

Same question I ask every control theory professor. When do you show the tracking case and when do you show the discrete time case? Why doesn't anybody see that these things are way more practical than regulating a continuous time system. Point me to a video on the millions of videos on youtube that teaches this.
