(scoffing)...what math?! all that is seen here is that she's telecommuting from more than 3 freaking states away for a state job that she's NOT even in the relative state here to begin with! How can a telecommuting "state employee" be so trustworthy? is the woman interviewed by Larry here directly supervising ALL of her work she is supposedly completing? what about corrections or clerical mistakes she makes? is that being looked at or just lazily being approved to add more to the scam or hidden agenda? How can anyone respect someone like that in the first place? And bashing? This didn't age well. Funny now in post-covid times, many states are all remote in these admin type roles, including mine. My coworker lives half of the country away. Kind of odd I'll never meet her in person, but she either does the job or doesn't. If the results aren't there, she will be let go like anyone else here. Even in the office, I would spend 100% of my day on email, phone, chat. Zero reason to be there. Here's the benefit to the citizens: we're selling the old office building, and many others, losing the extra expense. And as the states largest employer, we've got thousands of less people clogging up the interstate everyday. Welcome to the 21st century. For better or worse.

This is what I think about anyone representing a state but living in Wash D.C. Anyone who has power the to effect people's lives as greatly as politicians or state/federal employees do, should have to face that constituency on a daily basis at the grocery store, bank and post office. We have more than 60 yrs of research that tells us people can justify personal wants over others needs if they are not faced with the impact of those decisions constantly. Every 4 yrs or the occasional angry tweet do not effectively mitigate the barrage of special interest and power plays people in DC. face at every single interaction with another human being.
