To learn to speak a language, students need to converse. Class discussions can create ample opportunities for students to develop their skills, but only when students feel comfortable and engaged. This session explores techniques for maximizing the benefits of discussions by creating opportunities for students to keep up, check in with neighbors, and contribute their voices in a supportive classroom environment.
