@@uneebbhutta5200 what I think is qr or nfc , they both are not going to work as long as there is a transaction fee on it . On shopowner side , why show your earning and also pay more without any benefit,, On consumer side , why give extra charges on digital payments when it can be sorted with cash. This digital payments thing worked in India when they laid down all the charges on qr payments. And this is the thing which price sensitive markets like us need.

Raast was launched by then Prime Minister Imran Khan on 11 January 2021. Raast is an initiative led by the State Bank of Pakistan, that received backing from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Karandaaz Pakistan. It was developed with World Bank assistance.

Banks have imposed transaction limits on RAAST. All banks should be directed to allow minimum Rs 500k per day limit.

All three benifts dont lure to adopt RAAST. State bank has already made it so confusing. First we thought this is a parallel system. If it is, then adoptbility will be very very slow. Because the services which RAAST is offering are already provided by banks.
