What you say is totally correct. When I received this printer, it did everything pretty well, but I felt like I could do better. I adjusted everything and after several months, I feel that everything is perfect. For a cheap printer, it does everything very well and I am very happy. Thank you!

printing non-stop using this printer for more than a year at this point, had a lot of problems at the start, as this is my first 3d printer, and I had to figure out a lot of the details the biggest problem I found was wobbly arc, so moving the filament roll to a dryer, and adding a filament guide helped a lot also changed the plastic spacers under the bed for the silicon ones like on the original ender 3, then leveled the bed manually also I changed firmware to klipper for remote management and better bed mesh probing (needs separate host controller)

Just got this ender-3 v3 SE for Christmas, got another deal on a used ender-3 s1 from eBay ($70 free shipping) so I picked it up figuring I could monkey around with it before monkeying around with the v3se. Right away I can tell you the print quality on the used s1 blew the brand new printer out of the water. The prints look professional from the $70 printer. So what I've learned is that while the v3se is newer with better features, it's also more budget and made with more plastic. I have had to go through the entire v3se and tighten every screw, snug up every belt, tighten up ever eccentric nut and even snug up one of the z rods that was. Moving up and down, and guess what - it STILL doesn't produce as nice of prints as the cheap $70 used S1. Honestly I'm going to start putting money away every week and get a Bambu labs a1 combo with the ams lite system. 3d printing is a frustrating hobby and unless you want to bang your head a lot and mo key around with your printer it's probably cheaper and easier to just pay a 3rd party to print your designs.

Thanks for this. My issue is that some files print no prob on this exact printer. However, other STL files that we've sliced and exported to a GCODE file, it will act like it's preparing to print, then the Creality logo will appear and it will go back o the home screen as if we never tried to print anything. During the process, it will also pass the left edge of the bed, then let the filament melt out into a pile of string it looks like. Any suggestions? I don't know what to have my son look for in comparing one STL file to another or one GCODE file to another. Thoughts?

One problem I've been having is my ender 3 v3 se will not print hollow objects. I make the adjustments in creality before I print and it prints whole instead of hollow would you have any suggestions on how I could fix this issue
@AndersBorgSweden5 ай бұрын
That's a model or slicer issue, not a printer issue. Check whether the model is hollow or not in the print preview in the slicer.
@tktpersonal302019 күн бұрын
creality print can't slice "shells", it always requires infill. If you try cura, you can just make a thicker "wall" with 0% infill, that is a true shell. Creality's problem is if your sparse infill is 0% it considers the other infill setting 100% (can't remember the terms they use, gave up on creality print ages ago).

The best upgrade I've made for my pair of E3V3SE printers is ordering some smooth PEI sheets, flip the bed plate overs to mount them on, and reset the z offset. I was having so much trouble with prints either not sticking or not coming off. Plus I prefer the smooth surface when I need to print something upside down. There was one box I printed where the first try wouldn't stick to the print bed so I reran the z offset and the bed level again. On the second try the bottom layer ripped off the part and stayed with the bed. Now if I have first layer issues I can wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol that takes care of it the majority of the time. Both of my printers have had failed BL Touch modules. The first was delivered with a bad one so I just ordered a new printer and intended to return the first but Creality sent me a new module instead. The second went bad within three months and I wasn't going to wait for the warranty replacement so I got one from Amazon overnight. Only other issue I've experienced is one of the fans in the print head started getting noisy. The replacement on Amazon has both fans so I replaced both. I had a pretty severe clogging issue on this one that was likely caused by not cooling correctly. I run both of them off a Sonic Pad which has created it's own issues, such as trying to go through bed leveling before restarting a failed print, but still works fairly well and is much easier than the little screens. If I had to do it again I would likely just go with Octoprint.

I wonder if there is a consumer hex torque wrench set that has low enough pressure settings for the requirements of this printer, and if the factory can provide the torque specifications. That would make all of this a no-brainer. Maybe we as the community can create that as well.

Creality has zero excuse in this day and age to need this much fixing. They need to be $69 printers or they need to provide actual quality. A Bambu Lab A1 is not even 100$ more and theres nothing you can add to the enders for $80 that will make them perform even CLOSE to an A1. If your "hobby" is to "tinker" with the printer, Creality is a great platform to just tinker. If you want to actually design parts and just print without issue, Creality is the wrong brand.

Don't buy a Creality. The "after-sale" customer service is non-existant. And if you (like me) have problems with your 3D printer, you'll end up with an expensive paperweight. I've owned the KE for 6 weeks now. For 5 weeks, I've had nothing but problems, and Creality does nothing but automatically open and close cases without any attempt to resolve the issues. It's dead in the water with a screaming fan that sometimes doesn't work and burns filament, extruder is damaged, it stopped connecting to the Wi-Fi, and the flash drive doesn't read. Being that they won't fix it... the 3D printer, the scanner w/upgrade, the nebula camera, and the LED light will probably end up in the trash. No more headache. Don't waste uour money on them.
