This video is very helpful. I’ve wanted to get outfitted with Sitka for several years now and finally decided to going into this hunting season. I still have a few pieces I need to add to my setup before I believe it will be complete. This year I went with the elevated which matches up with the terrain while I’m in my stand. I have found that the subalpine blends in well early season on the ground so next year I’m going to start working on adding that to my setup. I wish this type of gear was around back when I lived in northern Colorado working for outfitters. This was back from in 98 to 2006. What’s crazy is it seems so much colder and just frigid here in Ohio we just get a fraction of the snow but it’s made up in ice here. Lol. I haven’t had a chance to wear this gear in an ice storm yet but in about 2 months it will get it’s chance. So far this year it has really kept me warm cause it starts out around 28 degrees and then warms up to low 60’s. The first time I went out I climbed some hills and went from 226’ to 1156’. I layered but did not shed any of the layers causing me to get soaked in sweat. I didn’t get cold though but it did remind me that I do have to take the time to shed some layers. I’ve owned so many different brands of hunting cloths I could probably sell them all and buy a house. Lol. Either way this is hands down the best. It’s not to often you can spend a lot of money on something particularly hunting cloths and not regret it at all. Sitka definitely sunk their hook and I will forever be their customer.

Most people have zero understanding of working at various altitudes and 40 degree temp indexes... go mountain hunt and you will learn quickly.
