Hello!🤗 If the drills of a certain colour will not fit in the storage container, I pour in what will fit in the container. Any leftover drills remain in the issued bag/container, and I use small binder clips to temporarily seal the bag. Take care and all the best.😎

I also wipe my container and the boat with a dryer sheet before pouring any drills

Hello! In your place, I would leave the stones in their bags and put them in numerical order, with what you have duplicated, (number, symbol and DMC) stuck on each bag (I guess you have some narrower double-sided adhesive tape around the house..) And them - I would have put in 2-3 the lids of the trays (possibly) from the containers, standing up, not lying down, of course, as I said, in numerical order, one after the other, in order. It seems to me that the work was less, and if you worked on a square of 10X10 CM or 15 x15 (I would have preferred 10-12X10-12 cm...) I think everything was easier. I didn't work as big as this, but I also had 100x100 CM (work space) with 182 colors, of course with numbers, letters, symbols. I did not stick the tape on the protective plastic to divide the work space, as I usually do, like you. I took it out and put sheets of baking paper (as you can see through them) and cut each square that I was going to work on. (I have a cutter for cutting paper). That's what I did, as I described to you above...I made the portions so small because it was a crazy mix of letters, numbers and symbols, sometimes it made me dizzy...) In principle, it should be kept in containers it's about the same space it occupies, right? Anyway, keep up the good work and I admire you for your courage!

I love to kit up too and I am the type that get every drill in the boxes. I would love to know where have you gotten those boxes you put your drill in when you kit up

Always get out the last drills it would feel like I forgot something, a bit distracting, usually keep a little baggie for strays in case some jump out of tray, fall off pen, so I don't loose any, so far it worked

Water cancels out static. If your home is relatively dry. I’d recommend a humidifier in your studio for a couple hours. Or put the drills in your bathroom and when anyone has a steamy shower it should get rid of any static. Good luck!

Just a thought regarding static: Rebecca from Add More Zest puts a dryer sheet in the baggie and then shakes the living daylights out of the bag, and it coats and calms the drills pretty well. Better than stirring the dryer sheet and drills with your finger or tweezers.

I was thinking all through the first video and now this one that Rebecca should have a go at these statics. They don’t stand a chance!😂 She did a video recently kitting up a painting with loads of static drills.

That is wayyyyyy to many I am coming close to finishing ‘Dragon and Fairy Swing’ I am a confetti girl but this was Allllllll confetti. Every inch has no less than 5 colors in it. It took me almost 3 months, longest ever. I work on one painting at a time. It was a lot.

You should try getting a humidifier. It should help with the static electricity.

could you add fabric sheets cut into pieces and drop them in the bag would that work
@debijohnson7289 Жыл бұрын
Might be a bit easier to get drills out of the babies if yo cut a corner off, it helps me to get out drills at bottom, IF you don't save these baggies
@aldonakoppenhaver4087 Жыл бұрын
Put a piece of dryer sheet in each bag, reseal, do the shake-a shake-a shake. Then pour into your containers. Take the time to put the sheets in all the bags at once, that way you should be able to go thru them and kit them all up easily.

Hi Gracie, I have heard that there are static guns that are effective but expensive. Do you know anything about it? Recently, Rebecca Warburton of 4 kids at 147, discovered that putting a largish size piece of dryer sheet in the bag and holding the top so drills don’t fly out (make sure there is air in the bag) and then shaking the bag hard for a few moments, was really effective with combatting static.
@cynthiagant774 Жыл бұрын
Nope. I won’t chase those few little diamonds sticking around. Clearly they don’t want to live on. 😂😂❤. I take a nice piece of dryer sheet and rub and shake it in the bag then pour. Real pain in the rear!! 🤨

The more you work on this, the more I think I'd keep my drills in DMC order with my spares and just keep my stickers on a chart (organized by symbol like you) for reference.
