Honestly I wish I grew up watching this show, I always see reviews for it praising the episodes, such as the racism episode and this Christmas one. Merry Christmas Venxous, your videos are pretty good.

I remember seeing episodes like this. Static shock would try to show the reality of the world just like Batman. I can understand why Virgil and Bruce ended up being closer in the greater DCAU. The focus on gun violence, mobs and racism really made this series worth it. Merry Christmas

Static is one of my favorite superheroes, so it is very cool to see a video about him :). I agree. I too like it when cartoons present different cultural celebrations too :). Excellent points. You're right that homeless individuals are looked down upon, ignored, and seen negatively - and that our society doesn't do much to address homelessness (I know I myself have ignored homeless individuals before, so I can relate to what you said also about how we can do much more). Static Shock definitely does a great job tackling real-life issues. Static/Virgil had a great character arc in this episode. I was heartbroken by Permafrost/Maureen's story. And, you're right, the simplistic criticism of telling homeless individuals to 'just get a job' is ignorant and overly simplistic. Our social welfare systems are inadequate and you're spot on that our fortunes could quickly change here in the U.S. (as you said, a health crisis could cause someone to lose their job and then their home). I've spoken with friends in Europe and it's so different there. Things aren't perfect there, but the differences (especially with healthcare) are quite stark. Compassion and empathy are two of Static's best traits. :) It's why he's one of my favorite superheroes. I like how he helped Maureen :). The writers did a great job. I didn't see the notes that the production staff wrote, but I like how they approached the issues. Good point about how homeless individuals are treated in New York and other cities. I agree that cities should build more housing instead of displacing them (and doing nothing to address their needs). Your video is great and I agree with what you said. Take care.

I wish there were more outlets around where I live to help out, I live in a small town where there’s not to many homeless people thankfully. Sad part is majority of the homeless around me are drug addicts as we have a major drug problem in a specific area near where I live and sadly many of them don’t want help

Maybe its off topic, but "rounding up to the dollar" when you check out at, for example, walgreens, gives the company a tax benefit because that gets put under their umbrella for the bill. So just give a buck to a homeless person instead.

I posted my comment about my living situation but I guess KZbin didn't want that. Let's just say I have seen it from both sides and it's sad. Moms with kids and entire families. Yeah as a non religious person I have met good and terrible religious people. I have a lot of issues with religious people but I can see the good ones
