WARNING: Done this before. Do not put SES functionality into prod/public sites 'bare' ie without captcha etc. The AWS SES Support team don't seem to exist within the normal AWS support ecosystem ie they'll ask you to communicate over email, not through the support portal. This means that if your email function gets piggybacked by a Chinese/other spam bot, it'll be a day or 5 before they get off their asses and actually respond. Meantime, your prod systems are down. Seen this happen to customers twice now. Also the link is no longer up.

@Sanela thanks for the awesome presentation, very helpful, I have a question, I am using the post method on one of the html pages, and when I hit submit, it says 405, "method not allowed", do you know how to resolve it, any help is appreciated.

Shouldn't there be a way to use Cloudfront to hide the actual API endpoint? As in, shouldn't your Ajax calls be completely opaque and just use paths such as "/mailfwd" without the aws-specific pieces? Announcing to the world what technology stack you use is generally a bad thing.
