The nostalgia this song/video evokes is overwhelming!! It's so bittersweet! There was a boy in middle school named Jonas Farrar that I was just absolutely obsessed with, he was just perfect and I secretly loved him until well after high school and into our adulthood. My closest friends knew about how much I loved Jonas and after high school, we ended up running with the same group of friends going to concerts together and such. I finally told him that I had had a deranged obsession with him in middle school but at the time I told him, I was married with 2 stepsons and the feelings had calmed down drastically. He actually got kind of mad at me and said that I should have told him back then because he would have absolutely dated me back then. 😔 He died not very long after that conversation. I wish I would have said something back then, but I'm glad I finally got to tell him before he left this world. He always made me think of Wayne static. He dressed like him and did his hair in crazy ways all the time. Man, I miss both of them. I hope Jonas and Wayne got to meet wherever they are now. 🥰😁 Sorry for ranting and being weird. 😒

Gangsta Rap & Nu Metal is what I was into by the time I was in the 4th grade and I have to thank some of my older cousins for it

Well this is around the time when rap/hip-hop fans and metal/rock fans were slowly setting aside their differences and coming together, so it makes sense

Hip-Hop w/Rock & Roll is a crazy original concept. I'm an aspiring rap artist & I play guitar & I'm even working on singing. The more originality that's put into rap/hip-hop then the more people will listen. Mumble rap doesn't have that much power imo.

I was a huge static x fan when I was a teen and I followed a lot of their stuff but I don't remember this video or the push it video.. I'm blown away right now because it makes it so much doper seeing it for the first time as an adult but hearing it again thrashing heavy ASF ... Rip Wayne Static 🕊️✌️😎

Metal Disco.... Static made that shit a thing. And it sounded incredible live. The energy everywhere in the show was nuts. Static had strippers bringing the whole band out shots of Jack after every song 😆 fucking legendary. Everyone in the place was wasted having a blast, the pits were some of the craziest I've seen! RIP
@marcperreault193 жыл бұрын
I can only concur that the pits for them at Ozzfest at the turn of the century (woof) were indeed legendary.

When I first heard Static-X all those years ago I was instantly hooked. Such an amazing and unique sound and style. Wayne Static was such an amazing artist and performer too. I was so heartbroken to hear we had lost him and the world is a darker place without him. Good to see his memory and music lives on 🤟🏻

You know, I've never been much into Static X, but sometimes when I just want headbanging, Static x is perfect for that. Or just grooving.

Awesome story. I can almost imagine my younger self doing the same, but I found a Judas Priest: Hell Bent For Leather LP on an 8-track. Judas Priest reshaped my whole way of thinking and I approached life with more hunger and drive ever since.
