This actually came in handy for me so thanks. I am a traveling RV'er so even though bigger then a van I still need to utilize my room. I have a full size coffee maker already and just didn't want to take up more room with an espresso machine. So this might definitely be something of interest for me to try out. I'm happy for you, having your Latte's at will, and at home. They are VERY expensive to buy... I'm a tea person, as I explained before I gave up coffee in order to quit cigarettes and they went hand in hand for me. And it worked. Small price to pay. I don't even miss coffee anymore. It doesn't even taste good to me anymore. But I'm so happy that you, Scott, coffee lover to the max, are now able to make your own tasty beverages!!!!!!! Bon appetit slurp, slurp!!! 🌺🙃🌺

Oh mannnnnnn…… do they have three hour shipping? 😆😆 In the Fall, we do a lot of bonfires at the beach in the evenings here at the Jersey shore and we are all coffee people. I wonder if you could use a mesh of a certain size or strainer to use on your ground coffee to get the acceptable consistency needed for the espresso gadget? The remaining fine particles of coffee can be used in a more traditional way to make coffee.

I have a stove top Italian espresso maker and wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm not say it's better or worse as far as taste goes because obviously I've never tasted the result of the maker you reviewed on this video. With that said I can say that the maker I have takes a lot less effort to use. I think it cleans just as easy as the one you have in the video. Now with that said, I do think that this espresso maker would be an excellent choice for say a backpacker because it would take up a lot less room. Just my opinion and thoughts. Respect to you for an honest review and to the company for asking for it and not conditioning it. Thanks and stay safe...

I’ve owned a half dozen different stovetop espresso makers. In my experience, they were slightly more difficult to clean as compared to this unit. But not by much.

Have you tried making a 2nd shot using the same grounds? It might be worth trying just to see how much weaker the 2nd shot is.

Pulling a second shot with used coffee grounds produces an over extracted shot. To do so pulls out bitter flavors.

Have you tried ILLY pre-ground espresso? I find it really good pre ground coffee or you can just get the beans. I also think a little mocha is easier to make espresso if you use milk with your coffee but never the less that is a neat little coffee maker.

Yeah - what glennEr said. I have an AeroPress, and yet I'm strangely drawn to the design of the Staresso. Just out of interest (read - just before I hit the BUY button) how does the Staresso compare to the AeroPress? It looks like the AeroPress may have easier cleanup...

Yes, the clean up aspect is easier with the AeroPress. But in my opinion, these two brewers aren’t really comparable. The Staresso makes a real shot of espresso. The AeroPress makes coffee more akin to a French Press. A big reason why I originally bought my AeroPress is because I was told it made espresso. It doesn’t. The AeroPress can make a very good concentrated coffee. But it’s not espresso.

Probably not. I’ll be using either the AeroPress or my Hario V60 on the daily. I’ll break out the Staresso when I want latte. I’ve been craving lattes lately. But until now, I haven’t been able to make one that tastes good. So I’ll be using the Staresso on an occasional basis when I get a craving for a latte.

Are you finding it hard to buy coffee where you are at? The Walmart shelves here in Pahrump are completely out of coffee. I will go to Albertson’s tomorrow and hopefully can find some. I hear there is a nationwide shortage of coffee.
