"A seven and a zero = 90". Love it! I am gas mileage conscious also, it saves my van as well. They pass me and see a grey haired lady in a mini van and shake their heads! Haha! Never judge, I rode a Harley for twenty years, ha! Love your journey Scott. Thank you.

Great one. Tacos or Grilled cheese, decisions, decisions. I am a part time nomad who misses the road life when back in my sticks and bricks. One of the reasons I love this channel is so much is the coverage of what some may see as mundane: water hunting, pant purchase & how to wash, meals etc. Having to focus on these easier things are what calm me and draw me out again to my road addiction.

Be careful out there. Was sitting by the campfire, when two giant wild dogs crept in behind us, in the dark. One ran into my tent while the other stood there growling at us. Terrifying to say the least. We didn't hear or see them until they were in our face. I sensed extreme danger my nephew frozen in fear, Frozen! I tried sweet talking them, hey pooch, where did you come from? It worked and they ran off. Sure glad I didn't have children in my tent. Sure glad there was only two. I think they come out at night, under the cover of dark. There is a giant, unknown breed of dog running around. Now I think I know why my favorite camping sites are always empty. Those dogs are not afraid of you! Came into our campsite to terrorize us. Danger, danger. I gave up the woods. I'm never going back. Scared the crap out of us. They were soaking wet. I think from running thru the mountains. What really scares me?, what does a giant eat! Stay safe man. Giant wild dangerous dogs. And they say that dogs run in packs. Yikes. Talk latter, I hope. Bye

I find you and your videos interesting to watch. I get your calm, quirky, mild ironic but slightly humorous personality. You remind me of a mix of different actors. The guy from old series X-Files David what's his name (I'd try spell it but won't). And another David actor (again with the last name), played Meryl Streep husband on River Wild. And finally everybody loves Raymond, Ray Romano. And to me all this is good. I will keep watching your travels so be safe out there on the road and streets though I sense your intuition is on point in your surroundings.

You make me laugh 😂 That rest area spot was nice. Skunky smelling tobacco is weed. I know because my neighbor smoke it often on their balcony and the wind blows that smell right in my windows. It really smells like there is a skunk in the area. I thought you had found a solution for the eggs, I forgot what it was but you did not have to eat soy free eggs anymore. Cotton is as I understand much healthier for the skin then nylon. Nice video, thank you 🙏

Hi, please spread butter on the Wasa bread. Yes, it is actually dried bread and very common in the Northern part of Europe to be eaten as bread. You can add cheese, cucumber slices and mayo on top of the bread as well. I believe that the Wasa bread is made in Sweden. We have counterpart bread in Finland as well. :D

🤣 You're eating Knäckebröd! It's Swedish, originated in the 16th century, and Wasa is just one of the brands making it. The Wasa company, founded in 1919, also used to be Swedish but ended up as part of the Barilla group (Italian) in the 80's. So funny to see you explain a food that's a staple in every Swedish home, school, hospital, hotel aso. Everywhere that is. Knäckebröd literately translates to "crack bread", so not to far off from a cracker I guess 😄 Ranting, I know. Will stop now. Thank you for that relaxing content. Your videos have a soothing quality to them that I really appreciate. See you in the next one 😊

It interests me how quickly I lose desire for a food item that makes me sick. So I avoid milk products pretty easily - cow milk and I don't get along at all except for bits of cheese and butter - and wheat. So that sour dough though it looks pretty good for white flour, wouldn't be something I'd choose. But yeah, apples!!!! Fruit is a big deal for me and it can be expensive but I look at junk food and realize that fruit is often much less per ounce and has so much more nutrition as well as being a source of hydration. Hmmm, you may not have wanted supper because Carson is pretty high too. Dunno. Yeah, my son has trouble finding pants with a small enough waist for him too. Good thing you found some, even at the dreaded WalMart! I like how you explain how and why you do things.

I used to stop in at that G.O. about 10 to15 years ago when I was frequenting Tahoe. You could get so much food for under $20 dollars. With the price of food and gas these days, you'd almost have to live in your van in order to survive and to have a good time. I really don't know if I want to spend the gas money to go back to that area unless I can get a car that gets double the gas mileage. Have a good week !!

Here in the Midwest it drives me crazy when people drive in the left lane and others clearly are going faster and want to get around them and it ends up being somebody in the left lane just overreacting and being unsafe trying to pass the first car. That's what they are smoking for sure. I, myself can't stand any cigarette smoke at all. So that was cute that you thought it was a lousy cigarette they were smoking. You always make me smile. The pants are nice and a good choice. Glad you did a grocery haul. All of it sounds gourmet like and tasty. Scott, please do more videos. Ok, glad you got the water. My husband bought some pants at tractor supply that worked out great for him. They are the Blue Mountain Brand (I think that is a store brand), and are about $15- at least here in NH. Sometimes they go on sale for $10-$12. They are thin enough for warmer weather and cotton. The only thing is that we ended up buying the next longer pair because the shrink in length. They gladly let us exchange that pair - the waist size was fine. That was a few years ago - one would have to inquire as to the leg lenght shrinkage now.... They are sized as low a 30 in length. Around here, they also stock Wrangler at Tractor Supply. He has had the pants (4 of them) at least 3 years. They are holding up great so far! I enjoyed the video!

I grew up ALWAYS hearing "Sierras" with the S. I mentioned I'm from Calif, so you know I took Spanish (4th - 8th grades) Of course I know the difference, but who cares? Probably the same people who say "whenever" when they mean "when", or they say "I seen", or they don't know the difference between "famous" and "infamous", "who" and whom", "well" and "good". As long as I understand what a person means, I'm happy. I've yet to meet the person with perfect grammar in Spanish or English. @@StaticCamperVan Lamoille Canyon near Elko, is an easy drive and you could spend the day enjoying sightseeing, maybe a short hike, and a quick drive back down to Elko out of the elevation. If I remember correctly, I had a decent cell signal there.

For the suggestions. My videos are put up on a delay of a week or two. So I’m very rarely in the same area as the video location.

I live in northern NM, the Northern area's of the state are the prettiest & comfortable climate temp suited during the summer months. I would check out Las Vegas, NM Hot Springs known as Montezuma Springs(Free soaking) Nambe Falls in Nambe, NM(you can camp near the water falls & or river) Taos, NM is another option. I know the Montezuma hot springs is available right now but I would check on other area's before going due to the recent wildfires. "Jemez Springs" as well in Los Alamos, NM. Pretty sure all the above^ places I've mentioned are on KZbin.

Hi there you only need to say "Sierrra" and not "Sierras", cause I bet they are using the spanish version of the word... Sierra is a group of small mountains in spanish.

Question Refresh my memory Who’s your cell service with? So you feel not having glass windows in the back really helps the van temperature, right? The pepperoni on the sandwich is cute! Eat what you like !

@@StaticCamperVan Thank you. I viewed the link. I live in Kansas. I’m needing a new cell phone and want to change carrier, currently with ATT the last 4 years.. when I head west the service is horrible. I did seasonal work 3 years ago at a dude ranch in a place called Wickenburg AZ. I had to travel an hour away to Surprise AZ to use my phone. Took a road trip last Fall thru WY, UT, CO… again ATT not reliable.. As always thanks Scott, appreciate your videos and your time .. like your music choices

Hi, Love your videos and travels. Question: .50 cents for 5 gallons of water is 2.50 at the gas station but you drove 2 hrs on gas that cost. $5.12 per gallons to buy water in Carson Citu. Was the water that much cheaper at the other store?

I’m not good at Maths. The water was cheaper. I also stayed in the town for a few days with very little driving after I bought groceries.

@@StaticCamperVan Wasa bread is Swedish, but your box is perhaps made in Germany .... Its named after Swedens first King Gustaf Vasa, and you have the famous battleship The Vasa ship. The bread factory was founded in 1919

@@ERNIE555 Yes, guess they have many factories, what JN and I meant was that it started in Sweden. The Wasa brand have strong connection to Sweden like Ikea, volvo and abba
