incase this matters to anyone, arrtx has used ai art to advertise their markers and claimed the ai art was 'made using their markers'. they later took it down only because someone they sponsored threatened to not upload their video if the art remained up. their dishonesty about something like that to the community they're selling their products to is something i feel people should be aware of since ai is an issue to a lot of people in creative fields. garbie arcylic markers also use ai. they're both really good products and i LOVE the art people have made with them!! but some of these might be deal breakers

stop the yip yap and just draw/paint away. too many crybabies online about ai this ai that when all that matters is them drawing and getting that art piece out. color pencil away, get messy with oil pastels or even these acrylic markers. no one's stopping you from being creative.

@@DaRUde117 right except art isn't just a hobby for some people, it's their job and how they make money. The reason people are mad at AI is because there are no regulations preventing AI from taking their art to learn and spitting out something that looks similar but ultimately not drawn by the og artist meaning they cant do anything about it. There are also no regulations about businesses hiring human artists over AI for promo art and since AI is cheaper it's pretty much wiped out an entire job role while making the rich richer and the poor poorer. The issue is a real artist could have been paid a commission to draw an ad over using an AI generator. I'm generally not big on having debates over things like these but sometimes people like you, who are ignorant to the fact that AI actually harms the people working in the creative industry, really gets under my skin. More jobs can and will be taken over by AI in the future too and eventually people will realise that maybe we should've put restrictions on the jobs AI could do.

@ firstly,rude to call me ignorant when you don’t know me at all. I commission hand drawn art all the time at art conventions here, but lately its been increasingly tough to find anyone willing to even do that, all because they are “scared” of some robot database like?? People like me who are in the minority suffer greatly in the end because of their endless yip yapping and refusal to draw for someone who’s willing to still give em money. Like you’ll live,there will always be new ways and new found appreciation for human drawn art. But hey i guess its my fault right?

Artists are refusing to draw because making art takes a long time and a lot of effort, I'm sure they'd love your money but if they don't have the time and energy to make it then they have nothing to sell. Like you said, you're a part of the minority who's still willing to pay human artists, not enough people are paying them to be full time artists so they have to get another job which is probably tiring. Not many people are willing to stay in an industry that has no stability or financial security, sure in the future a new found appreciation for human drawn art may come around but right now most people are infatuated with AI, right now there are only a few people willing to commission artists, right now we are seeing multiple big companies pay AI over humans, do you seriously expect people to wait around for something that might not even happen? I'm sorry that you as a customer are suffering but so are so many people who used to be full time artists, and so many people who wanted to work as a full time artist who are now questioning if they'll even be able to pay for food let alone rent and bills if they go into the industry. Given that the cost of living is the highest its ever been do you really find it that surprising people are stepping down from the Art industry? Especially when it is very clear that people's fear of not being hired because human artists are "too expensive and time consuming" is being made true by companies. People are scared they won't be able to survive on what little money is coming in and all you've got to say is shut up and pick up a pencil, sorry but it's not that easy and if you think it is then yes you're ignorant.

such a cute spread! the entire spongebob bit was so funny haha, at least it looks pretty nice with the rest of the page! (also I think the word you may have been looking for concerning the white stuff on the waves is "seafoam", maybe?) The pokemon Ruby drawing was my fav of all of them, the little 'mons just look so cozy around their trainer, I love it! That is also such an impressively well kept gameboy, like wow!

I was really happy to see this was a long video! Honestly, I could watch you draw for hours ❤ and it being 30 min+ makes it actually doable to draw along with it, which is always a bonus. Also, I looove Spongebob, like for nostalgia factor but I also still think it's kinda brilliant- BUT I felt the same kind of dread when you pulled up the prompt, because I'd still be scared to draw him, especially on a spread with all these fashionable girl characters haha. So I get it, you really knocked it out of the park though! P.S when you said "is he getting hydrated, or... is he just... DYING?" I was caught so off guard it just cracked me up 😂

I loved watching this as a I did some drawing myself so thank you! 30:49 as someone who also likes doing this with shadows, I think it's a stylistic way of creating a core shadow! which I think is why it looks so appealing? I have also seen artists use it and did not know what to call it haha

i did inktober this year and boy, it was rough! LOL! it was my first year committing, and i did do it every single day! honestly, i think i would've enjoyed it more if the prompts were a bit more diverse- all of them were extremely travel related. it was a fun challenge though! will i do it again? well... we'll see how i feel next year, haha. also, to hear you complain a bit about paint thinness in the markers reassures me, 'cause my white dual tip arrtx marker is like that! i work with it, though, as the markers in general are just super awesome to use and i quite enjoy them. anyways, love your art as always!

I know I watched and commented already on Patreon but this video came up again on my watch later while I was working on my prompt for today and since I last watched it I invested in the Simptaps (that name will never not be funny to me); and listening to your critiques on them (and your joys!) I just can't agree more. I've filled a few pages of drawings with them and everything you mentioned has happened for me and it really is so frustrating. The caps going walkies, flinging off while I'm shaking them, being lost in the box and making it impossible to retrieve them without emptying them all out, or else you can't close the box because the markers all peek out... and then the colour separation has been SO frustrating, the pale colours like you mentioned, or anything that has a lot of yellow pigment just seem to separate and make the pale colours yellow and the 557/638/657 have almost gone a weird yellow bronze colour. Which sucks when they come out thin and ruin pages. Plus my black pen exploded when I first went to swatch haha so the bottom of the box is like a tar pit. BUT that said, I agree with you that they are such an incredible medium to work with and I honestly feel like I've found my forever favourite. The colours are SO bright and the fact that you can layer and correct and fix things eventually is such a win. PLUS that they don't bleed through even pretty thin paper is SO incredible. Nothing's ever perfect I guess, but I'm really glad I finally put money down on these and I think I'll definitely get more in the future - I wanted to ask though, of all the Arrtx acrylic pens you've tried, which set has been your favourite?

Ah I'm sorry you had all those troubles with them! But yeah these pens have ups and downs for sure 😅 I'm glad despite that though you sound like you've been enjoying them! They're so much fun to use once you get over the hurdles. And I have to say I think my faves probably the Arrtx 60 Anime Color Acrylic Markers, they've lasted so long and been so consistantly great that they've just blown me away! ❤
