1:18 - I actually remember Gumby (the Blockheads were hilarious ^_^); I interpreted this as Taeyong had only focused on himself (so that's why there's so much of him at the start) Until one day when Taeyong got love-struck and calls on Wonstein the Love Guru ^_^ (yes, the Einstein of Love) for help ....so, I reckon we all need a Wonstein for Love Guidance in our lives - hehehehe (it's all about confidence, baby!)

Always love your reactions and interpretations! My interpretation: Taeyong is a nerd that only knows self love, until he falls in love and is lost/frozen (doesn’t know what to do). So he consults love coach Wonstein for advice 😂 I love how the entire song is essentially a conversation between the two! I think the imagery is great too: a rose falling in love with the sun from afar.

This song is really something extraordinary, I really like the little things they add to this song, so this song feels alive every time I hear it. Taeyong and Wonstein also participated in composing the lyrics, and Zayson (who is also Taeyong's friend) composed the other lyrics. You can see "Production Video" on NCT's youtube channel that the one who gave the idea to include the conversation at the end was Taeyong. Taeyong and his friends outside of the industry are indeed extraordinary at composing songs.

Thank you for your delighted reaction to this delightful station by taeyong & his pal wonstien. There is SO much going on in this seemingly simple song & claymation inspired MV, so many references & inside jokes about the tiktok kpop set & also a gentle self awareness of the isolated self absorption of idols. And wittily coming at all that from their opposite sides of the spectrum, these two meet up so well in this catchy parody. I dont call teayong's love struck little guy a narcissist so much as note that his world view is so smol (just & only him). To fill it he's consumed by the usual tiktok rituals including his sweet unanswered waves to find friends & his understandably unwatched vids of the tediousness of his day job (which appears to be the endless stacking pizza boxes.) Then...suddenly...Our Little Hero Lets The Sunshine In! He discovers & obsesses on an idealized generality, a masked (unreal) gurl. In his first ever Love Stupor he sees he is ill equipped to bask in her far reaching rays. Of course he summons the self promoting tiktok Love Guru (whos DIY ads hes seen so many times) The Great shabby chic Wonstien arrives at his online mind igloo dragging an impressive yellow rolling salesmens sample case to "evaluate" tiny taeyongs Love Potential. Ignoring what WE see SO well (that he IS is one of the most loveLY & loveABLE people on the planet!) The expert in his kewl krinkly suit & stylishly tattered hat concludes that 1) apparently pizza stacking pays well 2) the boy cant fly atall but he can chirp a few chick winning phrases in english and 3) hes...not short) Huckster Wonstien then peddles his full line of "Love Theory merch" including cardboard angel wings & a paper foil crown. It arrives at taeyongs doorstep in a plain brown "rapper" and alone in his Love Nursery he faithfully follows the gurus instructions & exercises (as he envisions himself a Love Fashionista with all the right moves) but he still seems stuck & seeks another session. Wanting to wrap this up, Wonstein hauls out his BIGGEST GUN...The Love Grenade. Of course what he has really sold taeyong is...confidence. He pitches his love with a famished growl of sexy certainty and GETS THE GIRL! There is momentary bliss (while Wonstien counts his well earned gains) but as the song drifts out the Love Waif is back & frantically grilling his guru cause (be careful what you wish for) he has NO notion of what should he do with her....next?

Love Theory is so smart, creative, and fun. It's true art by true artists. Taeyong and Wonstein wrote this together with their friend Zayson, and I really hope that this trio works together again.
