It is finishedish. That means fininshed but I might still change it a bit. I have rearranged it and cleaned it up and I am pretty happy with the way it has turned out. It is not prefect but it works and it quickly turn out any of the most complex alloys. It is a complex build so be prepared.

That's a mindblowing piece of engineering, very nice work ! New challenge, connect the output to a series of chutes that will automatically feed the autolathe & other printers, so it pulls the materials when required for crafting, and the input to a series of silos of raw materials that alerts you when X ingredient is running low, meaning you have to go to mine & refill. And voila, creative like mode in survival :)

this thing makes me giggle like a child. the agony of trying to do super alloys by chucking chunks of ice into the furnace is no more.

Excellent, now we need it as a product of a 3D printer - "Mick's Melter", just add steel, copper and a fart, and WOLLA! .. a 6 story furnace !

after I figured out the IC and programming two IC codes onto one chip, this is by far the best Automated furnace in the game that I have seen. Thank you for this, it is now my default Advanced furnace setup. Keep up the great content. btw love the Venus Lets play

Thanks. People liked the experimental build for the GFG so I thought I would do the same for this. Seeing the design process helps people break complex things down into managable pieces.

I want to make a furnace that has a huge number of redundant switches so it is like turning on a goddamn nuclear reactor.

That would be very impractical and unnecessary. I'm gonna do that on my next furnace.

Awesome build, did I need to have a silo, vending for each single ore? Ore can I start with just a few?
@cowsareevil7514
@cowsareevil7514 3 жыл бұрын
Then vending machines are completely optional. You can have multiple ores in a machine or you can have dedicated machines. In this example I had dedicated machines for the common ores and shared machines for the rare ores.

Hi Mick. Hope this finds you well. Been trying to set up auto-furnaces and I'm a bit stumped with one thing. Intuitively it would make sense that if the furnace is not hot enough, you would introduce more fuel and it heats up to the desired temperature and then shut it off then play with pressure; but it doesn't seem to work as it seems to pump more and more fuel with nothing and then BAM, it shoots up way over where I would need it to be. Have you had this issue? I'm guessing you have to vent some gas from the furnace but to what point would you need to vent it for it to activate the H2, O reaction to start?

above and beyond AGAIN, BUT when you made the first build of this furnace, you had the ore chute go straight to furnace right? why did you change it to not go to furnace anymore? you are hand feeding it now? if 99,99% to perfect is not perfect enough, then your OCD is really bad lol, this is perfect, specially now that the large batteries need some of the more difficult alloys, thanks again for explaining everything and giving a great build
@cowsareevil7514
@cowsareevil7514 3 жыл бұрын
I removed the direct feed when I built the second furnace. I can still easy feed the chute in the side and junction with the manual feed. 99% is close enough if I understand what is happening and choose not to fix it. If I can't figure out what is going wrong, then I am not happy.
@HotblackDesiat042

A simple query on whether the import slot of the furnace is occupied followed by a sleep command if true would probably suffice if you want to have it wait until the ores are processed before switching on the pumps to hit the target temperature and pressure. Cheers!
@cowsareevil7514
@cowsareevil7514 3 жыл бұрын
Not quite that simple. You have to maintain some temperature to enable to ores to melt and doing that will require more lines of code that I don't have. I need a MK2 chip with more pins and lines of code.
@HotblackDesiat042

@@cowsareevil7514 With perhaps the exception of solder, you should have enough temperature to process a batch of ores for any alloy. Once you set your furnace for the product it will target the temperature and pressure for that product. Unless you plan on feeding it a dozen stacks, or so, successively for multiple batches, or if you have solder targeting the min temperature (350K) rather than something closer to the max temperature (e.g. 500K), the furnace shouldn't get cold enough to stop processing. Probably the greater concern is over-pressuring the furnace when doing a batch of waspaloy. If the furnace is already at target pressure, I'd want it to vent as it's processing the ores! xD Cheers!

Awesome build. You probably will never see this, but for some reason waspaloy fails. Everything else works. When trying to do waspaloy, the furnace just pumps to zero and never restarts. Wish I could figure it out.

Hi Mick, Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I've got everything hooked up but the filtration unit wont turn on to top up the hot tank, any ideas? Thank you
@cowsareevil7514
@cowsareevil7514 2 жыл бұрын
Adding fuel that is very cold can cause situation where the logic locks up. Use the latest version of the code, I think I have fixed that. Otherwise prime the waste tank, low pressure there can make things work slowly.
@mattthorpe7853
@mattthorpe7853 2 жыл бұрын
@@cowsareevil7514 Thanks Mick, yeah its defiantly a low pressure issue. I don't think the furnace was reaching its target pressure so everything was waiting on that, i spent some time priming all 3 tanks and leaving it running for a while seems to have sorted itself out, I have found that if i login and the hot tank is around 15mpa it will run itself empty if i use the furnace for smelting, so i just jump start the system by turning off the IC then turning on the filtration for a few seconds after that it seems to settle down. Its the best furnace I've built so far. Great work.

You mentioned you are looking to eliminate the temperature and pressure fluctuations i watched a video of a guy who made a furnace that holds temperature and pressure pretty much constant its pretty impressive. Ill link it, maybe you could use it for ideas on how to improve your furnace he also has a guide on how to build it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHTYdqF-ibuGhpI
