This is a tutorial and building a power network for your base. I will go through the available items and how to use them to protect and control your circuits so you day spend your day chasing blown power cables.

Good video as always, thank you! A few more Tips: - Use Spray cans on full stacks of cables, this way you only use one charge. - When using unregulated cables and draw no more than 5kW, you can simply use one normal cable as fuse.

there's also a bit of a hack for coloring cables or anything else that stacks: spray a cable, and any other cables you add to that color gets the same color as it, without the need to spraying them at all. As long as you remember to keep just 1 cable coil of that color, you can make others of the same color for free. Oh, and another tip - if you have cable when you create a machine (any of the printers for instance) when you deconstruct the machine, you get grey cable back - this is another color for free.

still love these videos - damn, I wish you were around when I first picked up the game about a year ago, I would have been so much further along by now! :)

Just getting back into the game after over a year away....so much has changed...and i've forgotten how to do pretty much everything...lol. Enjoying your videos tremendously to help me get back on track. Keep up the great content!

I didn't know there was a large station battery, so I hooked up two in parallel. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for making this. I was in desperate need of some education on this topic.

I've started putting all my APC's on the input side of my transformers and connecting them with heavy wires since I once blew out a 5KW wire with just an APC and a large battery. It seems those small batteries can put out quite a bit of power.

Wind turbines in a looped tunnel powering active vents blowing down the tunnel, jumpstarted by a battery or generator. Could generate massive amounts of power with only six active vents worth of power drain on the system which can generate as much power as you want by adding more wind turbines in a longer tunnel. Never using more than six vents worth of input power. Once activated, it powers itself. 100% safe Free energy for a massive underground base ware power is never a problem.

There are many ways to cheese the physics in this game but I feel it takes away from the survival aspect. Brilliant inventing to come up with the cheese in the first place but in my game, I obey the laws of thermodynamics.

@@cowsareevil7514 fun to experiment with everything. Love the videos.

@@cowsareevil7514 I've seen these setups, and don't employ them for the same reasons as you, however, having said that - is it really cheesing the game? laws of thermodynamics - if you could drop the pressure in 1 area, and increase it in another and then open a conduit between both areas, you'd create wind - wind can drive a turbine. The only place where I consider it cheesing the game is that you can make more power than the draw by just adding more turbines.

@@mwwoggy Well in reality you would not get a net positive gain, you would lose converting the energy. The way air moves in Stationeers is highly unreal but fun as a game. However I very much agree with Mick, the instant you take away the difficulty to some sort of unintended semi exploit it sucks everything out of the game. Simply put if you cheat to win, you're not really winning.

Wind turbines got nerved in the last patch. They don't provide that much power any more. I think you get 800W during a storm. But at least they always provide a small amount of power now, even without wind.

Great video! Very helpful. Can you do a video like this but on container capacity (storing gases)?

One more Wind turbine that produces up to 500 normal and 10k during storms. May only be in testing branch atm

One that works all the time or more often would be awesome

@@julianweiser9985 Even the small vertical produces a small amount randomly (~65w) during non-storm times, but it's not continuous.

If Power trough HC and Data only Regular cable and connect in same circuit for economy, when try to draw high current regular cable will be blown. Even if cable is used only for data and in reality there is no load on it. In same circuit more than 5000W will blow. And will continue to blow if load stays. My usial mistake when i connect my AirCons/Filtration.
