Given: An orchard produce grapefruits with an average diameter of 13cm and a standard deviation 1.5cm. The grower believes this year’s crop is unusually large. A sample of 100 grapefruits have an average diameter of 13.5cm. What is the confidence level of the grower’s believe?

That number in time is 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 56 seconds and needs to be incorporated somewhere. That is considered to be a sidereal year and slightly longer than a calendar year. That 5 hours, 48 minutes and 56 seconds is extra time and needs to be used. Therefore, it is used on a Leap Day. Fox News is saying that 365 5 hours 48 minutes is a sidereal year. Are they wrong?

If we used the sidereal year for our calendars then summer would have 15 hours of darkness. Correct? Nasa says tropical doesn’t account for precession of the equinoxes. That got me a little confused. I thought the tropical accounted for precession
