I think when defining average, you have to initially look at 1. who wants to attend an ivy and 2. who WORKS to attend an ivy instead of wasting time and playing games.f you only want to go to an ivy you, and not work, you aren't assessed as the pool of people applying (imo) 😅. You would already be rejected unless your last name was Yale. What I'm trying to get at is she believes her stats are average compared to her very real **competitors** applying to Yale.

hmm i think they all contributed equally but having a 'theme' that was consistent throughout my whole application probably helped!

wow ur vid was really helpful! im also an nyc student but i go to a really big high school and i feel like all the kids there are more competitive than me. my dream school is nyu, do you think the nyu summer programs helped with ur application to nyu or other schools? btw im going to be a junior this year but i have really bad grades in physics and chemistry (less than 70 overall), do you reccomend anything to boost my application? tysm!!

thank u!! i actually got rejected from nyu so i don’t think they helped me there but overall, the programs at nyu helped me gain more experience which was a plus! as for grades, i would say try ur best! work hard on ur SAT to make up for a low gpa and ur writing!! make sure ur telling the story u want to tell!
